Story: Molly - Chapter 11

Molly - Chapter 11
by Breanna Carter

It was Friday morning and I'd just dropped Molly off at school. The nervous anticipation was eating me up. In a few hours, I'd be going to see my mom, whom I hadn't seen in so long. I felt like a bachelor who was taking his girlfriend to get his parents' approval. I guess it was sorta like that -- I was trying to get approval. There were just so many bad times built up between us that we kept locked away for so long. One day it was going to explode... and I had the strange feeling that it was going to be this time. The best that could happen would be my mother realizing that Molly is an adorable, loveable child who just needs someone to care for her. The worst... well, I didn't want to think about that.

I sat through my classes probably the same way Molly had when she knew she had an impending spanking. I couldn't stop tapping my pen against the desk and the teacher's voice seemed barely audible. My thoughts were much louder than any other noise in the room. I just scribbled down the notes, chewing on my lower lip, waiting for dismissal. When the professor finally spoke those words, I think I ran out of there so fast that I almost knocked a couple of people over.

I glanced at my watch. It was nearly eleven.. time to check Molly out of school. She'd be really happy to hear her name announced over the intercom.

"Hey MollyCakes," I said when she skipped happily to the office, backpack thrown over her shoulder, hair in semi-pigtails (I can't even explain it). "Ya ready?"

"Yep!! Thanks for picking me up!" she chirped, grabbing my hand and leading me out to the car that was parked right in front of the office.

"How was school?"

"It was boring until they called me to the office to check out!"

I giggled and rolled my eyes, remembering when I was a kid and how excited I used to be hearing the buzz of the intercom with the false hope of getting to leave early. "Got any homework?"

"Noooo, it's the weekend!"

Ah, yes, the times when there actually was a weekend. Once you get to college you're begging for things to be due on Mondays so you can have all weekend to work on it. At least that's how I was. "Wanna grab a bite to eat before we visit my mom?"

"Yes!!" she shrieked. "I'm soooo hungry. We had pizza at lunch today and it was gross."

"What do you want to eat?"

"Ooooo!! Can we go to Olive Garden?? Please please please!"

I rolled my eyes. She couldn't request anything cheap, could she? "I guess," I groaned.

"Yay!! We haven't eaten at Olive Garden in sooo long! I love their ravi's."

"It'd be so much cheaper just to get that from a can."

"But it's not as good!" she insisted, bouncing in her seat. "I'm so excited! We get to see your mom!"

I smiled, glad that she was happy. That made one of us.

We ate our lunch with Molly chattering away the whole time. I was used to it by now, and it was still as adorable as ever. I loved how she got so excited over tiny things, and I loved how she wanted me to meet all of her new friends. In fact, I loved her, just like I would love my own little sister... even my own child. Maybe that's why I was so worried about whether or not my mom would support my decision.

As we finished, Molly demanded that I leave a big tip (even though she hadn't realized how expensive Olive Garden was in relation to the other restuarants we eat at), and then we headed on our way. As if she didn't talk enough while we were at lunch, Molly jabbered the whole ride to my mom's house.

"So is this the same house you grew up in?"

"Yep."

"That's really cool. Will I get to see your old room and dig through all of your private stuff?"

I raised my eyebrows, looking at her. "Do I dig through all of your private stuff?"

"I hope not!" she exclaimed, giggling. "Can I at least look through old picture albums and see what you looked like when you were a baby?"

I sighed. "I guess," I answered, winking at her.

She seemed pleased with that answer. "So is your mom old?" she asked after a moment of silence.

"Not really. I mean, depends on what you classify as old."

"My mom was 35," she said. "How old is yours?"

"A bit older. More like fifty."

"Fifty!! That means she was like... thirty when she had you!"

"Something like that. She was even older when she had my little sister." I cringed saying that. I wasn't ready for question and answer session about my kid sis.

"How old was she when she had your sis?"

"Thirty-two."

"Wow! That's almost as old as my mom is right now!"

I smiled, glad that she wasn't pushing with topics that I didn't feel like talking about. I knew eventually we'd have to go there... but for now, I wanted to keep things on a good note.

"Brian, I have to pee."

"Molly! I didn't want to know that!"

She pouted, bouncing in her seat. "Can you find a gas station or something, puhleeze??"

"Why didn't you go before we left the restuarant?"

"Because I didn't hafta then!!"

I groaned but found the nearest gas station and let her take care of business while I stocked up on some chocolate and Mountain Dew. Man, if I thought Molly talked a lot as it was, wait until she was on all of that caffeine! She'd be totally wired, then!

The rest of the ride was uneventful. Molly mostly listened to music and sang along, talking to me every so often and playing the suitcase game (where we were packing a suitcase and had to name everything we were bringing in alphabetical order and had to repeat it until we got to Z). Finally, I pulled up to the small one-story cozy house. I parked my car behind the grey Lincoln that I knew so well from being a kid. The first car I'd ever driven.

"Is she home? It seems really quiet," Molly whispered.

"Sure she's home. She just doesn't have any bratty twelve year olds running around the house like some of us..."

She was dead serious when she said it: "Who do we know like that?"

I giggled. "Me!"

"You?? Nahhhh..." she said, grabbing my hand. I could feel her palms sweating. Or maybe they were mine. We were equally nervous.

I cleared my throat and knocked softly on the door. It seemed pretty awkward, knocking on the door of a place I'd lived my entire life. But I knew my mom, and she wouldn't want me just barging on in.

I heard shuffling around inside, then figured she was looking through the peep hole, and then she opened the door, a look of total shock on her face.

"Brian!" she said, more surprised than enthuised. "I wasn't expecting you to be here. You didn't call or anything."

I smiled. "Nice to see you, too, Mother," I said sarcastically.

"I apologize. It's nice to see you. And who's this?" she asked, looking at Molly.

"Mom, I'd like you to meet my friend, Molly. Molly, this is my mom."

Molly had turned about nine different shades of red. That was the cutest thing about her Irish heritage -- her blushing. It was too adorable.

"Hi, Molly," my mom said, shooting me a look while she shook her hand.

"Hi," Molly said, biting her lower lip.

We stood out there on the porch, dumbly, for about a minute, until my mom invited us in. "Oh, do come in and have a seat. Sorry the house is such a mess."

As Molly walked in she glanced at me and whispered, "now I see where you get it from." Meaning, I was always complaining about the apartment being such a mess when, really, it wasn't so bad.

I smiled at her.

"Would you like anything to drink?" she asked, walking into the kitchen and jingling some glasses. "I have tea, orange juice, some soda." She peeked her head back in the living room. I shook my head. "Molly?"

Molly looked at me and I shrugged.

"No thank you," Molly said, polite as ever. That's my girl.

"Molly, why don't you check out my room. It's down the hall on the right. There should be some old photo albums in there, right Mom?"

"Oh, yes, I'm sure there are," she said, coming back into the living room with a glass of tea, stirring the sugar inside. "And if you look in his closet, I'm sure you'll find his favorite stuffed animals!"

I rolled my eyes. She'd always be the typical mom trying to embarrass her son.

Molly smiled at us and dismissed herself to my bedroom.

I sat down on the couch.

"What are you doing here?" my mom asked.

"Well, I just wanted to discuss some stuff with you."

She took a sip of her tea. "Discuss some stuff with me? What, are you molesting a ten year old and want my approval?"

"She's twelve, and no, that's not why I'm here. Why do you have to make this so hard for me?"

"You come waltzing in here for the first time in four years and you expect me to make this easy?"

"Can we stop the bickering for a couple of minutes. Please?" I begged.

"Fine," she said, bored already. "What is it?"

"I'm thinking about adopting Molly."

She nearly choked on her tea. "What?!?" she yelled, standing from her chair. "Are you crazy? Out of your mind, Brian?"

"Mom, sit down."

"Sit down? You tell me that you want to adopt some twelve year old you barely know and you're telling me to sit DOWN?"

"Yes, Mom, I'm telling you to sit down. This isn't something to make such a big deal over."

"Brian, look at you! You can barely take care of yourself. How the hell do you expect to raise a twelve year old??"

She was testing my patience all right. "I do a perfectly fucking fine job of taking care of myself, thankyouverymuch. And when I was sixteen, I did a fucking good job of raising myself AND Janice. In case you don't remember, you walked out on us."

"That was different. That was a hard time for me."

"And it wasn't a hard time for me?" Now I was the one freaking out. I was standing up, clenching my fists together. "He was my dad. He abandoned me, too. You weren't the only one that he left. He didn't give a shit about me, either. He didn't give a shit about me OR Janice. How the hell do you think that WE felt? First he left, then you did! Not a note, not a phone call, nothing. I was sixteen fucking years old, Mom."

She shook her head. "If you had done a good job of raising Janice, maybe she wouldn't be dead," she snapped, obviously trying to think of the worst comeback possible.

Oh, it was the worst thing she could have said. And boy, it hit me the wrong way. "That is the biggest load of bullshit I've ever heard," I shrieked, waving my arms in the air like a maniac as I spoke. "I wasn't the one who was supposed to be raising Janice. I wasn't the one who walked out on her. I had nothing to do with the fact that she killed herself. It was all your fault. All your fucking fault."

She cowered away like I had just slapped her across the face. I was breathing hard, my heart racing. My mom just stood there, hurt. It was so silent.

We stayed like that for a couple of minutes, not speaking, not moving. I'd known that I'd say it one day. I'd known it since the day I found my baby sister with her wrists slashed open, lying motionless on the kitchen floor. My mom had always blamed me and I'd always taken it. For a long time I'd mostly blamed myself. But as I got older my eyes opened and I realized that it wasn't my fault she was dead -- I'd tried all I could to provide her with everything I could. Maybe that's why I wanted to take Molly in, to prove to myself that it wasn't my fault. I wanted another chance. I wanted to do for Molly what I hadn't done for Janice. But I'd done all I could have for Janice. And at this point, my head was so distorted I didn't know what I felt anymore. Everything inside me seemed so hollow.

"You're right," my mom nearly whispered, tears streaming down her cheeks. It startled me a little. We hadn't spoken in about ten minutes. She sat back down on the chair. "You're right, Brian. It wasn't your fault. It was mine. All my fault."

I rolled my eyes. Now she was trying this guilt trip thing on me. And damn, it was working. "No, it wasn't all your fault," I muttered, squatting down next to her. "It was a lot of stuff. With Dad leaving and then you leaving and then not wanting to disappoint me or put too much weight on me... it was everything, Mom."

She shook her head. She knew I was lying. "It was mainly my fault," she admitted. "And I'm sorry for that. Not a day goes by that I'm not sorry."

I nodded.

"And I'm even more sorry for putting all the blame on you. I know I haven't been the best mother, and I haven't tried that hard. I guess I should've taken your advice years ago when you wanted to be a psychologist and actually gotten some help."

"It's not too late," I said, though it was kind of mean.

She nodded. "Now, tell me about Molly," she said, wiping the tears from her eyes.

I raised my eyebrows. "She's one of the girls that always comes to the skating rink and her father recently died. One night she was at the skating rink and her mom never came to pick her up... and we went to her house and she wasn't there... hasn't been back since that night."

My mom shook her head, almost being set off into tears again.

"Mom, Molly has nobody... and she's the greatest kid ever. She just has a hard time, and I really enjoy having her around the house. It reminds me of having Janice around, gives me some responsibility."

"How are you ever going to find a girlfriend and get married if you always have a twelve year old following you around?"

"She won't be twelve forever, and I'm sure most of them would understand. Some girls think it's sweet!"

"I don't know, Brian. I mean, taking care of a teenager is hard work to do by yourself. What are you going to do when the hormones kick in?"

"I took psychology classes!" I reminded her, smiling. "I guess I'll just have to come to you and get your advice?"

She smiled back. "Brian, I think that, if in your heart, you really think this is the right decision, you should go for it."

I almost started crying. This was the first time that my mom was *really* standing behind me, and it felt sort of good. Maybe I should have exploded on her years ago instead of just walking out like I had. Maybe our relationship could grow...

"Thanks, Mom," I said, hugging her.

The two of us talked in soft voices for a few more minutes, until Molly finally came back in, figuring all was safe. She sat in my lap and let me throw my arms around her, getting antsy to go home. Finally, as the sun began to set, I announced that we'd better get going and my mom sent us off. Something inside of me was at ease, but I still had a strange feeling that I wouldn't be seeing or talking to my mom for a long time.

*****

"Brian," Molly said as we got on the highway, "I don't like it when you cuss."

I bit my lower lip. "Sorry, Molly," I said, feeling ashamed.

"I mean, you seemed to have a good reason... but it scared me. I just don't like it," she said, slumping down in her seat.

"Guess you heard the whole thing, huh?"

She nodded.

I put my arm around her. "I'm sorry, MollyCakes. I just got really really angry and let my temper get the best of me. I don't do that often..."

She nodded again. "I know."

There was a moment of silence.

"So you really want to adopt me?"

"Well, not necessarily adopt, but at least get guardianship of you."

"What's the difference?"

"I don't know," I laughed. "But apparently it's easier to get guardianship, and since I'm just getting started on my life... you know, just finishing college and stuff... it'd be better than adoption."

She nodded. "Brian," she said suddenly, "if I had talked like that to my mom, even if I had a good reason, you'd have spanked the daylights out of me."

I cringed. "Well," I stuttered, trying to make up an excuse, but finding none. "Yeah, Molly, I guess you're right."

"I think that it'd only be fair if I got to spank you."

I bit my lip to keep from laughing. "Are you serious?" I asked.

She smiled. "Yes."

Molly - Chapter 10
by Breanna Carter

While Molly was in the shower and getting ready for school, I cooked breakfast, glancing at the news every so often. Nothing exciting was happening really, which Molly made clear when she came into the living room clad in a pair of khakies, white polo-type shirt tucked in and looping her green belt through the loops.

"The news is boring, Brian," she declared. "Do you ever watch anything interesting?" She finished looping the belt and buckled it, then sat tenderly down at the table. I saw her wince as she sat. "You did a good job this morning. My rear didn't look so good when I went to take a shower."

I smiled, rolling my eyes at her and taking a bite of my eggs. "Molly, Molly.. what *am* I going to do with you?"

She smiled back. "Love me and keep me around forever?"

Grinning, I replied, "duh!"

I took a sip of my coffee, watching her gobble down the food. It was about time to go to court... about time to notify the police of what was happening.

"Hey, Molly... when's your game?"

"Monday," she answered, mouth full of toast. "You should know that, Brian... they're always on Mondays. Are you getting old??"

I giggled. "I reckon. How would you like to meet my mom this weekend?"

She stopped chewing on the food. "Meet your mom?" she asked, mouth dropped, showing all of the contents inside her mouth.

I squinched my eyes up so she'd take the hint that staring at half-chewed food wasn't very appetizing. She took the hint and finished eating it. "Yeah, meet my mom. I figured that since you've been living with me for a while and it's about time for me to try to get some kind of guardianship over you... well that it'd be cool if you met her."

She nodded. "It'd be fun. Would it be like a roadtrip?"

"Sorta," I admitted. "But she doesn't live *that* far away.. only a couple of hours. But you can call it a roadtrip if you like."

"Will we get up at five in the morning and set out before the sun rises and on the way stock up with junk food and sandwiches?"

"Molly, I think if I got to my mom's house before noon she'd kill me. But we'll get junk food, I promise. Over the summer we'll take a real roadtrip, okay? We'll go to Myrtle Beach or something. Somewhere spiffy."

"I wanna go to the mountains," she announced.

"Mountains?"

"Yeah! They're so pretty."

"Okay, we can go to the mountains. But this weekend, we'll go see my mom. Deal?"

"Deal," she answered, finishing up her food and putting her dishes in the sink. "You think your mom'll like me?" she asked.

"Of course! Who doesn't like you!" I answered hugging her tightly.

"We'll be back in time for Ciara's sleepover, right?"

"Yeah."

"Oooo!! Can we go Friday and let me skip school?"

I rolled my eyes, tickling her. She giggled like crazy.

"St-op!!" she yelped, laughing and trying to tickle me back. I tortured her for a few minutes and finally stopped.

"We'll see about at least letting you check out on Friday, okay?"

"Yay!!" she said, hopping up and down like a bunny.

"Now, go finish getting ready for school!" I said, landing a playful swat on her bum.

She howled and scampered off.

I smiled. This weekend, we'd meet my mom. Next month, legal guardianship. We could even spend Christmas together like we had Thanksgiving. We'd have our own Christmas where I spoiled her with presents. And we'd only stay in my apartment for a little while, until I saved up enough money from my new job to where I could buy a house. The first obstacle, however, was meeting my mom. Once I got her approval we could go from there... the trick was getting her approval.

The drive to school was basically Molly begging me not to give her another spanking after school. "Sorry, baby, I've made up my mind," I told her. "You're getting another spanking, and that's final. But your next spanking can be prevented if you're an angel."

"I'm always an angel!" she insisted.

I looked at her. "Then why do I see horns???"

"Damn, those aren't supposed to be showing!" she said, ruffling her hair to "cover them up" then realizing that she said "damn" and blushing like mad-crazy. "Oops.."

I laughed out loud. "It's fine, MollyCakes... just be careful."

I pulled up to the school and one of the teachers on duty opened the door for Molly, waving hello to me. It was funny that Molly had only lived with me for a couple of months and the teachers all knew me already. "Bye, Brian!" she said, kissing me on the cheek.

I kissed hers back and hugged her. "Be good, Molly. Stay out of trouble!"

"Always!" she hollered as she walked off.

I waved goodbye to the teacher and went back home, then took a shower, and went to class. Class was as boring as you can imagine, but I only had the week of finals left after this week, so it wasn't too bad. My heart was beating with nervous anticipation of all that was to come. Not only was I going to see my mom this weekend, I was about to graduate, and I was going to try and get legal guardianship over Molly. To top it off, I'd be starting a new job in January and quitting my job as manager at the skating rink. I might still be there for the weekends, but I knew I couldn't juggle working two full-time jobs. I had everything all planned out, but it's still scary, no matter what anyone says. I could try to be tough and tell everyone that I couldn't wait until the end of school and the beginning of my new life, but deep down, I was terrified. I was terrified that my mom wouldn't want me to raise Molly, I was afraid that Molly's mom would come back and try to get her little girl back (though we hadn't heard from her since she ran out), I was afraid that Molly would go through that teenager phase and learn to hate me... I was afraid of everything! I had to tough it out, though, because everyone goes through change. And whatever obstacles I had to get through, I could get through them. I'd been through so much already, and this would be plenty easier than that.

During my lunch break, Jason and I went out to eat with a couple of girls that we'd known since we were sophomores, back when I was a psych major. It was fun, hanging out as a group again, something I hadn't done in a long time. And it actually helped distract me from the situations at hand. After lunch, I went back home and cleaned up a little, did some homework, then went to pick Molly up from school. It's funny how you know when the bell rings, even if you can't hear it. One minute the walkways are deserted and quiet, and the next what looks like thousands of kids are jumping around and skipping, screaming at the top of their lungs. Ah, yes, middle school. I didn't miss it at all!

Molly hopped in the car. "Hey Brian!" she said, then went into an elaborate monologue about some friends that I hadn't previously heard about. "... And Ciara was telling us about her sleepover and it's going to be soooo much fun! And before the sleepover we're going to all go to the skating rink. And Ali, too! Ali's really nice! We've been hanging out with her a lot lately. I think she's a lot better now. I don't think she's doing that stuff anymore," she concluded, catching her breath and slumping down in the seat as I waited for the school traffic to actually move.

"That's really cool, Molly. I'm glad that you and Ali are becomming good friends."

She nodded. "I'm excited to meet your mom this weekend. What's she like? You don't talk about her much."

Because I never really felt the need to talk about her much. She wasn't my favorite person in the world... "Well, she's in her fifties, shorter than me, greyish hair.."

"I didn't mean what does she look like.."

I hate after-school traffic jams. "My parents divorced when I was a kid.. my dad cheated on her. She's tried to marry again since then, but she doesn't have trust, and the marriages all end up falling apart. So she isn't much of a people person anymore, because she doesn't trust anyone, ya know?"

Molly nodded.

"She lives alone in a small house and works most of the time. Sometimes she goes out on dates and stuff, but mostly she doesn't. She's not a really happy woman." I didn't mention my mom's irritable mood and the fact that she ran out on my sister and me when we were teenagers. I didn't want to scare her.

"That stinks," Molly answered, looking out of the window. Talking about moms was a touchy subject with both of us, since it was apparent that neither of us had that great of one. So I changed the subject.

"Got a lot of homework?"

"Nah, not too much. Just some math, but I finished most of it in class. And I have to read a chapter for science and answer the questions. Then I have to do a grammar worksheet for my English class, but that'll be easy."

"How's your bottom?"

She blushed. "Better than it's going to be in a little while," she muttered.

"We'll go ahead and get it over with before you do your homework. Then you can work on your stuff, and then we'll go to the skating rink?"

She smiled. "That sounds good."

"Doesn't seem like your homework is going to take too long, huh?"

"Nah!"

We finally pulled into the parking lot in my apartment complex, half a tank of gas having been wasted from being stuck in the god-awful traffic. The two of us walked towards my door, neither of us really wanting to go through with this. You may be asking, "if you don't want to go through with it, why do it?" I'm sure that would be Molly's thoughts. It's not so easy though -- I promised her the punishment, I had to carry through with it. I was a softie, but I had to get over that. I had to remember what she'd done.

I shut the door behind us and threw my jacket over the side of the couch. Molly did the same, looking up at me with her gorgeous blue eyes. "Brian... I'm really sorry for spending that money."

I nodded. "I know, MollyCakes, but I told you this morning that your punishment wasn't over yet. You know I can't back down now."

She pouted. "I wish you would," she muttered.

I sighed and sat down on the couch. "Come on, Babygirl... the sooner we do this, the sooner it'll be over."

A tear slipped down her cheek, but she came towards me anyway, shivering in the slightest bit. She was biting her lower lip.

I pulled her a little closer and helped slide her khakies down, letting them settle at her knees. Then I helped her over my lap. I tugged her panties down, noting that her bottom was a fading shade of pink and it'd probably been hot all day at school. To top it off, I'd be spanking her again, so she'd definitely feel it the rest of the day.

I took a deep breath in as I rested my hand on her bottom. "Molly, why am I spanking you again?" I asked.

"Because I took the money you gave me for the trip and spent it on something else."

I gave her a mild smack. "And why is that wrong?"

"Because it's dishonest and I could have just asked you instead of taking your money."

I smiled. She actually knew the lesson. I delivered another smack to her upturned rump, listening to her panting. I knew she was trying to be brave and not cry. That would never work. It never did... for anyone.

However, though I did know she'd learned her lesson, I would have to make this a lasting impression. Thus, the mild slaps did not last long. I probably slapped mildly for about a minute or so, then began spanking harder, emphasizing each smack as much as possible. "I will not have you spending money irresponsibly, Young Lady," I scolded, spanking her sit spots enough to make her squirm in displeasure.

"I knowwww," she cried, kicking slightly.

I spanked harder, giving her thighs a couple of good smacks, then moving back to her bottom, making the previous pink look like white compared to what it was now.

"Oowwww, Briannn," Molly whined, crying enough to make me want to stop.. "I'm s-sorry!!" she howled, kicking and bucking up slightly.

"How can I be reassured that you won't do this again, Young Lady?" I asked, not letting up on the intensity of the spanking.

"Be-because I.. owwwww... learned... achhh, my lesson!!" she managed to choke out. "Pleaseeeee no moreeeeee."

My ears were deaf to her pleas, though. Well, not really, but I tried to make it seem that way. I tried my hardest to ignore her pathetic wails begging me to stop spanking. I tried to only think of the crime and the punishment. I tried to focus.

She squirmed and kicked like crazy, enough for me to tighten my grip on her tiny body. "Stop it," I ordered as she kept squirming.

"I'm ssorrry!! It hurtsss!!"

"I know it hurts, Molly, but the more you fight, the worse it's going to be."

She tried to remain as still as possible, but I knew it wasn't easy. Especially when I decided to finish up with a flurry of very hard smacks to her poor red bottom, and then the final smacks on her sit spots and thighs. I landed the last smack and studied the poor weeping body over my lap. She was a mess, sobbing into her arms and muttering apologies every time she caught her breath. I could tell that her red hair was matted to her face with the tears. Not only that, but her bum was such a color that it matched her hair.

I rubbed her back softly, trying to help her regain composure. Finally she began to breathe enough to where I figured she was at least half-okay and ready to be held. So I scooped her into my arms and let her cry into my chest until she couldn't cry anymore.

I kissed her head more times than you can imagine. "I love you so much, Molly," I kept saying. I didn't want her to forget that. I loved her too much to let her slip away again, like she had that time she ran away.

"I know," she would mutter, each time I said it. "I'm not going to leave you again, Brian," she finally told me after what felt like hours of snuggling.

I looked at her. Wow, she could really read my mind. Was I that obvious?

She must have noticed the surprised look on my face. "I know you've been worried," she admitted, "and I really won't run away again. I know you love me, and you're always there for me. You always have been. I don't know what came through me that day. I just thought I'd screwed up like I always do and I didn't want to be hurt like I was when Mom left."

I nodded. "I know, Baby. It's okay. You just scared me that day."

"I know. It was a dumb thing to do, run away like that. But now I know what would happen if I ran away again, and I can't stand hurting you like she hurt me..." she broke off at the end of that sentence and began crying again.

"Shhh, honey, it's okay," I cooed, rubbing her back.

She nodded, head pressed into my chest.

We were silent for a long time, until Molly got up and pulled her panties and pants back up, the hobbled towards the kitchen table. "Do you have any homework, Brian?" she asked.

I sat there, stunned. Molly could be so much more grown up than twelve sometimes, but other times, she was just that adorable twelve year old. It was so confusing. "Yeah, I have a little."

"Good, so you'll sit with me and do yours while I do mine?"

I smiled. "Of course!" I gathered my school things and sat down next to her. I had a huge paper to write and was halfway finished with my rough draft.

"That's a long paper," Molly said.

"Yeah, it is. But after I write it, I'll be able to graduate."

She smiled. "I can still stay with you after you graduate?"

"Duh!" I said, ruffling her hair and causing her to giggle.

"Good."

Story: Aerial's Diary - Week 4

Aerial's Diary - Week 4
by Breanna Carter

Dear Journal,

You're not going to believe what stupid thing I did. No, really, you're not. I agree that I've done my share of idiotic things throughout my life -- even throughout the last few weeks. But this... oh man. This was extreme.

So back in the day, there was this episode of the Inferno 2. It was the old series on MTV with tons of drama and lots of fighting. Well, a lot of the people who are in the house with me now were also on that show when it happened. Apparently, this girl named Tonya got really pissed at another girl named Beth and took it upon herself to throw all of her clothes in the pool. So anyway, the other night we were talking about it. Veronica was talking about how much she hated Beth and Mike was making fun of the whole situation, telling us how he told Beth to kick Tonya's ass. CT commented that it was a pretty crappy thing for Tonya to do, even if it was funny, and personally, he didn't like Beth to begin with. Abe just shook his head and said that it'd be something that we all remembered forever -- the real world/road rules alumini as well as the television viewers.

Later that night, like a gift from heaven, this ingenius idea popped into my head. Why don't *I* try to reenact the whole Tonya incident? After all, I'd seen it on tv. I knew everything that had happened.

Since Tara was my best friend on the show, like a twin sister to me, I decided to discuss my plot with her.

"I decided that I want to reenact the whole Beth thing," I announced softly when we were alone in my room, with the exception of the hidden cameras. Not even a camera man was in there! We were the only two around, so it wasn't like there could be too much drama.

"You mean with the clothes in the pool?"

I nodded, not sure if she was going to have the typical-good-girl reaction ("I don't know if that's such a good idea..") or the typical assistant-culprit reaction ("That's perfect! Why didn't I think of that?"). I bit my lip, waiting for her response.

"Hmm," was the first thing from her mouth. I waited. "That's a good idea... but what are you going to do?"

Hadn't thought that far. "I want to target Abe," I stated.

"That's not surprising."

"I mean, because we're good friends, and I don't honestly want him to think I'm mad at him about anything."

She nodded.

"I guess we could wait til Abe's asleep.."

She stopped me. "We?"

I raised my eyebrows. "Okay... I could wait til Abe's asleep, then start yelling at him about something stupid, and then take his clothes and throw them in the pool."

She giggled. "That would be hilarious. What can I do to help?"

I thought about that. "Throw CT's clothes in the pool, too?"

We both giggled at that.

"Better yet," I said, "We can gang up against Mike, throw his clothes in the pool, and leave it up to him to decide who actually did it!"

Her eyes widdened. "That's a great idea!" she nearly shrieked. "Why didn't I think of that?" Hehe, there's that assistant-culprit reaction I'd been waiting for.

We giggled about it the rest of the evening, plotting out our scheme as much as possible. I felt like a thirteen year old going to get back at her older brother for ratting her out to their parents. This was going to be TOO much fun!

Even later that night, it was the night before a mission so everyone was asleep fairly early, Tara and I lay in my bed whispering to each other. I mean, really, we were really acting like thirteen year olds. That's the advantage of being the youngest in the house -- no one really expects more out of you. It must have been two AM before I decided to go to the bathroom, which was conveniently by Mike's bedroom. I was going to see if I could hear five distinct snores -- that's the number of people who shared that room. They were all guys.

I tiptoed out of the room, carefully peeking in the doorway and counting the different snores I could hear. I smiled, noting that I successfully heard all of them. Scampering back to my room, I waved my arms at Tara to let her know that he was asleep. She was going to keep guard as I grabbed one bag, gave it to her, then grabbed the other. It was taking all of the strength I had not to giggle outloud. This would make one of the best moments on tv, just like the Beth incident!

We ran down the steps with the bags in our hands, trying to remain as quiet as possible. By this time the camera men had caught onto what we were doing and were following us around, shoving the cameras in our faces. When we got outside by the swimming pool, we both burst out into giggles.

"Oh my gosh, Aerial! This is crazy! I can't believe we're doing this!"

We ripped open Mike's suitcases and dug through his clothes. "I hope there's something in here that's dry-clean only!" I sneered as I grabbed a handful of clothes and threw them in the pool.

"Me too!" Tara answered loudly.

It was actually kind of fun going through Mike's stuff... I mean, it's always cool rummaging through others' things... right? We found some really girly underwear amongst other things that we wanted to hang up around the house.

We'd successfully thrown what we wanted to into the pool, and decided to write dirty messages on the rest of it then find somewhere to put it. I'd brought a sharpie with me and some tape. We started on the first item -- his briefs.

"Haha... Mike's a pussy," I said, writing "I'm a PUSSY!" in big bold letters on the front of his underwear.

Tara held up a pair of undies that she'd written other vulgar things on. We were really having a good time, and the camera men were mildly entertained by what we were doing. I was so ecstatic... I could hear the music that was going to be played while we were doing this!

That must have been when we got too excited and started singing as we finished writing the stuff and began trying to find places to hang it up. Tara and I stood on a table and started hanging stuff by the ceiling. The thing is... the way the house was... well, there were doors open, and like I said, we were being really loud... I guess you can see where this is going.

We weren't even halfway through hanging the stuff when the first couple of sleepy people came stumbling outside.

"Ohhh my gosh!!" they said, and started laughing, admiring our handywork.

Damn, we'd been caught!

But they didn't seem to mind too much and thought it was hilarious! So we just kept on what we were doing.

As you can imagine, more and more people began waking up and coming outside to see what was up... and as you can probably morely imagine, Abe and Mike were amongst those people.

Mike actually thought it was funny, for a minute. Um, until he saw the briefs that I'd written on that announced he was a pussy. Yeah, he wasn't too happy about that.

I thought he was going to have a hissy fit. Tara and I just stayed standing on the table, frozen in fear, as Mike began to recognize all of his clothes thrown about in the pool. Ohhh man, I could hear the music while we were throwing it, but at this point in the show, it would be all silence. Mike was too pissed to even talk to us. He ran over to the pool, collecting a couple of his soaked possessions, then looked towards us and pointed his finger.

"You," he said, getting too angry for his own good... or, erm, my own good. "You little BRAT!" he announced. He stormed over towards me, grabbed my wrist and tugged me off of the table, then sat down on the chair, pulling me over his lap. It all happened so quick I didn't have much time to react.

"Mike!! Stop!!" I squealed as he began raining down spanks onto my upturned bottom. Ohhhh my gosh... it wasn't supposed to happen like this! He was spanking so hard I didn't even have the time to explain myself... and Tara was getting away scot-free!! How did that happen!

I heard Abram talking over the loud smacks and my pleas for Mike to stop. "Mike... stop. Take it easy, man," he was saying in this calming voice.

"Abe!! Help me!! Owwwww make him stoppp!!!!!!!" I swear they must have been taking pictures of this!

Abram was still talking, but I was concentrating more on my poor sore bottom than what he was saying.

Finally, the torment stopped and Abe hauled me up, turning me to face him and everybody else. My face must have been as red as a tomato... All of those people saw Mike spank me! That just made me feel more like a thirteen year old!

"Tara, down," Abram commanded, snapping his finger and pointing to the ground.

No matter how much it made her seem like a dog, she still hopped down from the table and stood next to me, gulping. There had to be a dozen people out there watching... we were so mortified. If only we hadn't been so loud, no one would have known anything.

"What in God's name do you girls think you're doing?" Abe yelled. Mike stood next to him, hands on hips.

Tara and I looked at each other, I rubbing my bum because it was aching like almighty hell. Neither of us said anything, just searched each others eyes for the right answer.

Mike interrupted us before we could say anything, "I'll tell you what you were fucking doing," he yelled. "You were vandalizing my stuff... that's what you were doing!"

"We were just having fun!" I protested.

Mike began to say something, but Abram, who was not nearly as livid as Mike, but nonetheless, very angry, stopped him and spoke instead. "Fun does not involve hurting another person's possessions or screaming like a bunch of raging maniacs while others are trying to sleep."

"It was just a joke," Tara said, attempting to make it better.

As I'm sure you already guessed, it didn't work.

"A JOKE?!?" Mike raved, putting his face in Tara's. "A joke is putting a bucket of water over the door so when I walk in it splashes on me. A joke is making a prank phone call. THIS is NOT a joke... this is NOT funny... this is what crazy maniacs who want camera attention do!"

"People like you?" I muttered, not actually intending for him to hear me.

Oh, he heard me all right. It took all he had to walk off and not slap me. I would have even slapped me in that situation. I don't know why I said it... my bum was still aching!

I hadn't noticed it, but sometime in between Mike's crazy rant, CT went to stand by Abe. Now they were both looking down at us like we were in some kind of trouble but didn't know what. If you're going to piss off the person who's going to punish you, don't wake them up to do it. Make sure they're already awake. They don't like it when you wake them up, believe me.

"Aerial, come on," Abe commanded.

I gulped, looking at Veronica. She was the one person that I'd wanted approval from... I wanted her to accept me more than anyone else, kind of like how Tara had wanted Mike to accept her. Veronica was the bitch of all bitches, and if you formed an alliance with her, well, you were good to go. And when I looked at her, she smirked. It was a good smirk -- she was smirking for the bitchy thing I did. Maybe I was in the gang now.

I was snapped back into reality when Abe and I got inside and I followed him upstairs, to the third floor, but not before stopping by his room to put on a shirt. It was like a living room area, but offered more privacy than any of the other floors. It was more of a game room where we chilled sometimes and got drunk. It wasn't the first floor where people could come in at anytime, and it wasn't the second floor where everyone was sleeping.

He shut the door and turned around, shooting me a look that would make anyone cry. "What the hell do you think you're doing, Aerial?" he shouted, trying not to lose his temper. "Do you think that's funny? You think it's funny to throw a person's entire wardrobe in the swimming pool and write all over the rest of it?"

I gulped. "I thought it would be funny?" I stammered.

"Wrong, very wrong, kiddo," he said grabbing my chin in his hands, forcing me to look into his eyes. Oh man, he was as livid as Mike... "I know that you and Tara are the youngest people here, but you don't have to act like you're twelve, because you're not. If you've got a problem with someone, approach them and talk about it rationally, don't just go wasting thousands of their dollars."

"But I didn't waste it!" I whined.

"Aerial! There's chlorine in the pool! That damages clothes!"

Oops. "Oh, um, I didn't think about that."

"Damn right you didn't think about it. Didn't think much about consequences at all, did you?"

"We were just trying to reinact the Beth thing," I said, a last pitiful attempt to make myself seem not as bad.

"Well, you did a good job, but you're not a crazy attention-craving bitch like Tonya, and even if you were, it still wouldn't give you the right to damage someone's property like that. And personally, Aerial, I don't care if you were trying to reinact something the pope did.. you KNEW that it was wrong, whether it was meant to be a harmless joke or not."

I let a tear slip down my cheek. I didn't like this whole Abe being mad at me thing. This time I wasn't even getting that weird feeling inside of me like all the other times. This time it was only guilt. That's all I could feel.

"I'm sorry," I said.

"Yeah, I'd be sorry, too, if I was about to get the spanking you're getting."

"Abeeee," I whined. "I thought you said I wasn't twelve!"

"You're not, but that has nothing to do with you getting a spanking."

"I'm too old!" I protested.

"Number one, you're not too old. And number two, you're acting twelve so that makes up for it."

"But it's not fair... Mike already spanked me... in front of everyone!"

"You should be glad he didn't pull down your pants," was his only remark as he sat down on the couch and pulled me towards him.

"I ammm," I whined as Abe tugged down my pj pants and then my panties before he pulled me over his lap.

"And be glad that I'm doing this here instead of downstairs like CT where anyone can walk in at any time."

Ouch, I didn't like the thought of that... I didn't have much time to digest it, though, as Abram began raining down really really hard smacks. "Oooowwwww!! Abeee that hurtss!!" I squealed, kicking like crazy and trying to squirm away.

He tightened his grip and spanked harder than I thought he could. "Good, this will teach you not to play harmful practical jokes on people."

My bottom had already hurt, so this second spanking on top of it didn't make me feel so great. "Pleaseeeee, I'm sorry!!" I begged, gripping tightly onto the couch cushion to try and ease the pain. When it didn't work I decided that I could just block the spanks... natural instinct, I swear... He just caught my wrists and held them with his left hand while he kept spanking with his right. "Pleaseee no moreeee!!" I begged, crying and whining like a baby. I kept trying to free my hands from his grip so I could block, if even for a second, at least it'd stop the pain for that long. But it didn't work.. he was too strong... his grip on my wrists too tight.

"You will NEVER do this again, Young Lady," he demanded, "do you hear me?"

"Yessss sirrrrrr," I bawled, still kicking and almost screaming when he started smacking my sitspots.

He stopped spanking and lifted me up, still keeping a firm hold on my wrists. He looked me in the eyes, disappointment apparent. "I'm so upset with you," he stated, then stood. I'd thought he was finished, but man, I was wrong. In fact, I wasn't even close to being right. He led me to the end of the couch and leaned me over, taking his belt off in the process. I hadn't realized that he had a belt... he must've gotten it when he put on a shirt.

"Noooooooooo," I begged.

"Hush, Aerial," he scolded, folding it over.

"Pleaseee," I kept begging, but was cut short by this loud crack and terrible stinging in my backside.

I howled, bucking up and moving my hands to my bum. He was angry that I created such a scene, but didn't say anything, just pushed me back over the couch and kept his hand on my back as he landed another, right on my sit spots. Ouch... it hurt sooooo badly.

"Ohhhhhh Abeeeee it hurrrrtsss!" I wailed, trying to wiggle out of his grip and make him stop, but it didn't work.

He landed another one, right on top of the previous, then another without giving me much of a breather, and another. I was bawling in pain, my face buried into the couch. "This should serve as a good reminder of not damaging other people's things," he said, landing a few more. By this time I was choking on my tears. I can't honestly tell you how many he gave me, but it must have been at least twenty. It felt like a thousand. I felt like someone had set a bunch of fire ants on my bottom. It hurt sooo badly.

He finally lifted me up, since I hadn't the strength to lift myself. I think he must've felt a little sorry for me, because he let me collapse in his arms, muttering apologies through what little breath I still had. He held me against his chest, strong arms around my weak body. "You're forgiven, baby," he told me as I kept my face buried.

I nodded softly. I guess we stayed that was for a few minutes... maybe half an hour or so. I finally regained my composure and gathered myself enough to pull away from him and wipe the tears from my eyes. "Be careful," he told me. "V saw what you did tonight and is likely to want you to do more stuff like that with her. Stuff to instigate fights... stuff to piss people off. If you do that, you can almost be assured that there will be more spankings."

I tried not to smile at that statement. For one, Veronica might include me in her bitchiness (I know, I still sound twelve), and secondly, more spankings? As long as they weren't as painful as this last one (emotionally and physically), I'm all game for more spankings! But I didn't smile, I just nodded and sniffled, wiping my eyes.

I pulled my undies and pants up over my throbbing bottom, wincing as the material touched the tender spots. Abe put his hand on my back and led me downstairs. Wow, that hurts... have you ever walked down stairs after being spanked lots on the sit spots?? It hurts, let me tell you!! We went all the way down to the first floor where I heard Tara sobbing and saw Mike standing on the table, getting his stuff down. A few of the gang were still outside, some talking, others helping Mike out.

I took a deep breath in and looked at Mike. "I'm sorry," I announced.

He still didn't look too happy.

I explained to him that I only wanted to reinact a great moment on tv and that I hadn't meant any harm. I didn't want to mention that I'd been properly punished for it, but Abe nudged me and basically told me to. Mike couldn't help but laugh when I told him that, but it wasn't a mean laugh. It was just a laugh to show that he forgave me, as long as I never did it again.

It wasn't long before Tara came outside, and as mine, her face was tear streaked and eyes red and puffy. I was helping fish some stuff out of the pool when she came outside, apologizing like crazy with CT behind her. I knew CT to be a meaner guy than Abe, so I knew that Tara probably got it good. Like he had mine, he accepted her apology and then actually hugged her, which I thought was really cool. She then helped me fish out the rest of the clothes that we could from the pool, and then we all went inside and went to bed.

The next day for the mission I was soooo sore and glad that it didn't involve sitting down. I don't know if I could have done that comfortably. Mike's clothes aren't so bad, and he's not really mad at us anymore. And Veronica basically decided that Tara and I were officially bad asses too, which was also really cool.

Abram is soooo hott. I don't know when my next spanking will be, but you can sleep knowing that I'll definitely tell you about it :) Until then, stay safe and out of trouble!

Love,
Aerial
