Story: State Championships

Part of the Terrence/Brianna series.  Time for state championships and the soccer team heads south to face the best teams in the state.  On the bus trip back home, a game of Truth or Dare ends badly.

State Championships
by Breanna Carter

State championships... ah what a joy. Anastasia and I were so anxious to get on the field and feel that rush again... it was hard to wait a whole month! We trained hard the whole month, scoring as many goals as we could, defending as many goals as we could, running until we collapsed. It was great. A month is no time when you’re training, but a month lasts forever when you’re excited about something. You’d think that they would cancel each other out, but they didn’t. So we worked hard and trained and got giddy about the competition. The cool thing was that the coach was no longer mad at me for fighting. She just made me promise that I would not try any of that stuff at the state championships or I’d be kicked off the team for good. I told her not to worry, I’d learned my lesson.

When the week of the championships came around, we had so much adrenaline that we could run twice as long without collapsing and we could do tons more exercises. Our coach made sure that we ate fruit for breakfast every morning by calling us, and if we said that we didn’t have any, she’d bring an apple up to school for us to eat. It was pretty cool, being on a team like this, especially with all of the praise we got.

An even cooler thing was that the boys’ soccer team was going to Baton Rouge with us. They were travelling in a separate bus, but we were all going to be in the same hotel so we could all go swimming after we won the championships. We had another scrimmage that Wednesday for the school to see, and obviously, the boys had stepped it up a bit, 'cause we tied this time. I guess that couldn’t be a bad thing, 'cause we were both extremely good teams, and the boys were supposed to be stronger and faster than us, so at least they would win the championship.

That Thursday, we went through half of the school day, having our pep rally during 4th and 5th period, then leaving right afterwards with the gym cheering and clapping us on. We had people make a little tunnel for us and as each person went through everyone slapped them on the back, wishing them luck at the game. We came out of there really feeling like the toughest shit in the world, and knowing that if we didn’t win the state championships, the people who did were good enough to be professionals.

We had a five hour long bus ride ahead of us. I’d been to Baton Rouge only once before on a school trip for this gifted class I was in. Yeah, when I was in fifth grade I was gifted. Lucky me. Of course, a five hour long bus ride can’t be that boring when you’re sitting in the back by the window with your best friends surrounding you. We all gossiped and played the mafia game where everyone gets a card and that decides whether your the mafia or not, and then the mafia wakes up and kills someone. It was a really spiffy game, seeing as we were all immature. Later on the bus ride, we begged the coach to let us share the next bus ride with the boys. But, she wouldn’t let us, which sucked. So, we decided to tell stories about bad work experiences or bad school experiences. Everyone wanted to know if I really got kicked out of school or if it was just a rumor. So, I had to set them straight and let 'em know that it was true, but not a cool thing at all and I’d never even get near any weed again.

We finally arrived in the lovely city of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I really hated the Deep South because it was filled with people who talked weirder than me and it was always hot down there. I do admit, though, that it was slightly bigger than Shreveport. I wished that our state championships were in New Orleans. From what I’ve heard, that’s a much better city than Baton Rouge. But the championships weren’t there, so I had to be content with what I had.

We stayed in a nice hotel, one that towered over us as if it were a skyscraper or something. I threw my suitcase over my shoulder and grabbed my soccer bag, then followed the coach inside where she handed us each our keys and told us that we were having a special dinner at a nice restaurant in an hour, to get dressed in decent clothes and meet her downstairs at 6:30. We all nodded in agreement and I decided to walk up the stairs since the other kids wanted to ride the elevator, and I could probably use the extra exercise. I did not, however, beat Anastasia and Jayna to our room because they were the first to get on the elevator. Lucky them.

The room was spectacular. It was fairly large with a refrigerator and a couch and two different TVs and two double beds with a lamp beside each one. I claimed the bed closest to the wall, and Anastasia claimed it about the same time, so the other two were stuck sleeping next to the couch. I decided to go ahead and change into my skirt and long sleeved shirt, so I’d look halfway nice for the dinner, and then I brushed my hair and stuff. The others were still going through their things, putting them into the drawers and stuff, but I figured that was pointless since we were only going to be there for two days. I watched Friends until they decided they were ready to go, and I turned the TV off and followed them downstairs to the lobby. There were a few groups of people scattered around everywhere, and we headed towards the one that consisted of Ashton and some of the girls from our team and another boy or two. I grinned as I saw Ashton.

“Well, you’re looking nice today,” a boy said, smiling at me.

I blushed. “Thanks.”

“Oh geeze,” Jayna said. “Get a room.” She rolled her eyes and I blushed more and laughed uncomfortably.

I was glad that the coach came into the room and began talking before I had to reply to Jayna’s statement. “Okay everyone!” she yelled over the crowd. “Listen up. You can choose which bus you're on for tonight, but that means we’re not going to be checking the roll, so if you miss the bus, you’re walking back to the hotel.”

I giggled, still feeling uncomfortable. I felt the boy’s hand on my shoulder and it made me a little nervous, but didn’t bother me. I mean, there wasn’t a chance of me and Ashton, so maybe this guy, who was cute, might I add, was a potential boyfriend.

We were all dismissed from the hotel and got on the ugly yellow school busses. This time, for some reason, I ended up sitting in the back next to Ashton. That was totally weird for me because, uh, I figured that Anastasia would snatch the seat up before anyone else. But hey, I wasn’t complaining. We just sat back there giggling about dumb things that either Anastasia or I had done, and Ana joined in, along with the guy who was sitting next to her, and it was loads of fun. I wished so desperately that Ashton was single and interested in me. Or at least interested in me. But, I knew I’d always be like a little sister to him and I just sighed, wishing that things didn’t always happen the way they did.

“What about at that one game, Bri? The time that you were going to kick the ball, but instead you slipped and fell flat on your ass! Remember that?” Anastasia said, laughing hysterically.

I glared at her and opened my mouth to say something, but was interrupted by the dumb coach talking again and telling us to follow her inside because she had reservations.

Dinner was uneventful. We, uh, ate. I guess that’s what most people do at dinner. The coaches pep-talked the team and congratulated everyone for making it that far then proposed a toast to our winning the next day. I had steak that night, steak and a baked potato and a chocolate fudge brownie ice cream thing for dessert. It was sooooo yummy and I knew I wouldn’t forget that night for the rest of my life.

After we got back to the hotel, everyone scattered, ignoring the coaches that yelled at us to be back in our rooms by eleven. I didn’t figure anyone would be back, but it didn’t matter to me. I had my heart set on going swimming with Anastasia and Jayna and Ashton and his friend Trey and a few other people from the soccer teams. I quickly ran up the stairs to my room, racing with Anastasia who also decided to run up the stairs, and I beat her by a couple of steps, only 'cause I had already been up the stairs before and she hadn’t.

I inserted the key into the lock and we raced inside, seeing that Jayna was once again, already there, and already changed into her suit.

“What took you so long?”

“Stairs!” Anastasia exclaimed, grinning.

Jayna rolled her eyes at us. “Well, hurry up and change! I’ve got my eye on this Trey kid and I want to get down there and see him!”

I grinned then I changed into my swim suit, put some shorts on over it, and we walked downstairs to the indoor pool and jumped in.

Friday morning, we were awakened bright and early by the loud ringing of a wake up call from our coach. She told us to be dressed in some workout clothes, then to come to the lobby, using the stairs, and be there in five minutes. I groaned, but dressed myself quickly because Jayna and Stacie said that she timed us. I thought that was weird. None the less, we dressed hurriedly, then left our room, practically running down the hall and meeting some of our teammates on the way to the stairs, then we ran down the stairs and made it to the lobby where nearly everyone else was already sitting. “A minute late, girls. That’s two extra laps today.”

My mouth dropped. Two extra laps? I didn’t complain, though, just followed everyone to the continental breakfast and ate some cheerios, without sugar, a banana, and a glass of orange juice. Everyone had to have at least one fruit and either a glass of orange juice or milk. Then we got on the bus and we went to an open field, where we filed out, single file, onto the field. First she had us doing push-ups, then sit-ups, and then we did these other exercises, then we ran. We all ran a mile, and then those of us who were late had to run two extra laps, and some other girls had to run another mile. Finally, we were able to sit down in the grass. Everything had happened in such a hurry that I had no idea what time it was.

“Good work, girls.” She looked towards Anastasia and me. “I know this is new to some of you, but in order for us to be the best, we have to be ready for anything. We have to be able to work fast and think fast. This morning we’re going to practice thinking fast, making quick decisions. We’re going to exercise our minds as well as our bodies.”

I raised my eyebrows to Anastasia who just kind of shrugged.

“We’re also going to learn the importance of teamwork and communication.” She paused. “All right everyone, on your feet!” We all stood simultaneously. First, we did some easy stuff, passing the soccer ball to one another in a big circle and not letting it exit the circle. Then we did a three legged race, and added another player on until the entire team could run to the finish line without falling. That’s what you call strenuous. Then, we had to get in a tight circle and all sit down at the same time, which is more confusing than you’d think. We had to sit down on each others’ legs and not fall. On our last mission, we split up into two teams and each had a certain type of disability, but we couldn’t talk to each other and let them know what it was. Some of us were blind, others could not walk, and others couldn’t see or talk. We had to try and beat the other team over to the finish line, but we had to work as a team to do it. It was pretty challenging, to say the least. Finally, after doing tons of different missions, we all sat in a circle with our water bottles, drinking a little and not talking. She ordered us all to sit Indian-style and close our eyes, to breathe deep breaths. I felt like I was in a fourth grade gym class... or even a psychologist’s office. She told us to clear our minds and think about nothing, not think about the game and not think about any of the noises. She told us to relax our bodies. After I finally got myself entirely relaxed and stress-free, I felt great. We stayed like that for a few minutes and then she told us to open our eyes and everyone looked different, better.

“You girls are the greatest team that our school has ever seen. I know that we can win the championships.” We all smiled equally as big and then we did that circle thing again where we all put our hands in the middle, chant then exclaim loudly how we’re going to win. “Girls, when we get back to the hotel room, I want you all to take your showers and rest until I call you for practice again.” We all nodded. “See you this afternoon.”

We ran to the bus and I took my normal seat next to Anastasia. “That was interesting,” I said.

“Yeah, sure was,” she answered. “I feel great now. I feel our team growing stronger and stronger. We’re definitely going to win.”

I grinned and nodded. I had the same feeling that she did about winning. I didn’t doubt it at all.

It’s hard when you have four stinky girls in the same room who all want a shower. We almost had to draw straws to see who’d go first, and not 'cause we were all racing. We actually all offered for someone else to take a shower until finally Jayna stood up and said that she would go, and we’d have to decide amongst ourselves who would go next.

Everything in the room was mellow and calm. The three of us lay on our beds and breathed deeply, freeing our minds and mentally preparing for the game. It was physically and mentally hard to play a state soccer game. You had to deal with a lot of stress and tons of running and playing. By the end of the night, we’d be so worn out. But, we knew we could do it. We’d been preparing for this all year.

After showering and changing into our uniforms, we all hugged each other and wished a good game, then headed down the stairs. I tried my hardest to keep breathing and not get too nervous. It was only noon and I still had a full day ahead of me. The coach gave us all fruit for lunch... surprise. Finally, we all got on the bus. It seemed so quiet... everyone was nervous about the game and nobody was talking, except the team captain... but nobody was talking to her so she was kind of... you know, talking to herself.

We pulled up to the massive stadium. There were tons of different fields where some teams had already started playing. Our first game was scheduled for one o’clock. “All right, team,” the team captain began. “You’re all going to do great. Just go in there and pretend like it’s a regular home game and everyone’s cheering for you. If you just work hard and do all the stuff we’ve practiced, everything should go by smoothly.”

We all nodded and then we yelled and chanted with excitement that we were going to kick ass and win for sure, then we marched off of the bus and onto the field. We did some warming up, kicking the ball into the goal, passing to one another, and, of course, our exercises. And by the time we had finished with all of that stuff, we were all psyched up and ready to go. I felt like I was just having a scrimmage against the guys, even if the other team was full of girls. I guess everyone else felt that way, too, 'cause we definitely won like it was something we did every day. I guess we DID do it everyday.

Anyway, to make a long story shorter, we won all of the games that we played on Friday. By the end of the night, it was 9pm and we were exhausted and aching and everything, but we had high spirits because we won the games and we’d be competing the next day for the state cup, and we weren’t worried at all. We even went out for ice cream after the games, although we were all hot, sweaty, and tired from the games. But we wanted to celebrate our victories. We got back to the hotel about 10. The coach announced that since the game wasn’t until late in the evening, we wouldn’t have to get up at any certain time, but we’d be due downstairs by one. Which really meant that we had to get up by noon.

On the way back to our rooms, Anastasia and I were walking down the hallway and we spotted Ashton getting a coke out of the machine in his adorable PJ pants and a white undershirt. I mentally giggled, then Ana snuck up behind him and began tickling his tummy. He giggled hysterically and tried to make her stop and finally began tickling her himself. “How’d you do?!!! How’d you do!?!?” he asked giddily. I could tell that THEY had won.

“We won!!!” Ana said ecstatically.

“YAY!” He began jumping up and down and hugging us. I tried to pull away because I was so sweaty and smelly, but he wouldn’t let me. “I was going to come by the room in a few minutes and see if you guys won. I saw some of the game, and you looked like you were playing awesome.” He paused then looked at me. “Oh, and I saw Terrence.”

“Yeah, he decided to come down but promised that he wouldn’t bug me,” I said, laughing.

He laughed, too. “Imagine how Anastasia feels...” he said, putting her in a headlock. “ I’m EVERYWHERE she goes, mwahahaha.”

She struggled then punched him in the stomach and he let go, still grinning.

“So’d you guys win?” Anastasia asked.

“YUP!”

She gave him a high five. “Very awesome,” she said, then looked at me, probably reading my thoughts about how sexy Ashton looked in those PJ pants and the white undershirt. We stood there for a minute in this awkward silence and Ana finally spoke up. “Well, we need to get a shower 'cause we smell bad!”

He smiled. “Okay. Have fun. See you guys tomorrow.”

I smiled back. “Later, Ashton.”

I walked on clouds back to my room. Everything seemed so unreal... I had managed to make it to the state championships and obsess over Ashton all in the same day. This was so great!

The next morning we woke a little after ten. I was the second awake, the first being Anastasia who turned on the TV quietly, but it ended up waking me anyway. We talked softly for a little while until the other two woke up and we decided to get some breakfast, probably fruit, but maybe something decent while we were at it. So we walked to Burger King which was across the street and ordered some crossainwiches and then drank some orange juice so we could get our daily dose of vitamins. We replayed the games in our heads and laughed and talked loudly until we finished stuffing our faces and headed back to the hotel to rest up for a little while. We met downstairs at one and went to our field and did some exercises and passed the ball around, then just tried to close our minds to the nervousness that we all felt. It was an overcast day, the perfect weather to play soccer. I just hoped it didn’t rain until after we played, because it would suck to try to play the state championships in the mud.

We went back to the room and took a shower and got all cleaned up then met downstairs where the guys were and they were ecstatic about their game 'cause they had seen the opposing team play before and knew how much they sucked. The coach told us that we were going to watch some of the guys’ game, but between the second and third quarter, we’d go so we could warm up for our game.

We could pretty much tell the outcome of the game by the first quarter after four goals had been scored against the other team. We were so ecstatic and not even nervous anymore because we knew that we could win.

Of course, as the game began and the other team was on the field, we found out that the challenge was more than we imagined. The team was really good and had an awesome defense, and nobody scored a goal until the second quarter when somehow I managed to slip past the defense. The goalie wasn’t that good... maybe that’s why they had such a great defense. But, after the first goal, we were more pumped than ever and Jayna scored another, then I scored another, then the team captain scored one. It’s scary when I score more than the team captain. Anyway, the other team tried to keep the ball on the other side of the field, but it was hard since we had six really strong girls keeping it away from there. They scored a point, earned a foul that gave us a free kick and we scored that point, and in the fourth quarter we scored one more point to leave us winning 6-1. It took a minute for reality to hit that we had won and that the stadium was cheering for us and this rush of excitement came over me and I jumped up and all of a sudden, nine other girls hit me, then the rest of the team who was sitting on the bench. I was in the middle of a huge crowd of people and everyone was screaming with excitement, then the coach walked over with this huge trophy and we bombarded her and everyone put their hands on the trophy and I could feel our picture being taken by the local newspaper and I was so ecstatic that I almost passed out with excitement. Then the boys’ team ran on field, then everyone from the school ran on field and we were heroes!

After a while, all the hero stuff does get kind of old. After about ten minutes of being excited and stuff, we began to get so exhausted that we’d just collapse onto the ground and lie there. I think I was the third one to do it, right after Jayna. I could have just fallen asleep right there on the grass and slept forever. But they wouldn’t let me. They were dragging me up and shoving me towards the bus and yelling in my ears. Ashton came to congratulate us and then Terrence did and said that he never saw me play that well in my life. I just grinned widely and hugged him and was so glad that he loved me that much, 'cause I don’t know what I’d have done without him. He patted me on the back then said that he’d meet me at the school, then I nodded and somehow I got the trophy in my hand and we all ran to the bus like a couple of elementary school kids. It was great.

Anyway, so on the bus, we were having our own little party in the backseat with all the juniors and seniors and Anastasia. Somehow the idea of truth or dare got brought up. And before we knew it, we were being all loud and obnoxious and daring each other to kiss and flash passing cars and asking people their deepest darkest secrets. And then it was my turn.

I thought of my options. Pick truth and risk everyone knowing about my punishments at home, or pick dare and do something totally stupid that all the other girls had already done. Clearly, it wasn’t a hard decision.

“Dare!” I exclaimed.

The girls gave each other a high five and explained that it was MY turn to flash the next car that passed. I nodded, not worried about this at all 'cause it was dark and wasn’t like anyone could see my boobs anyway. I remember in fifth grade how we used to flash people, like we HAD anything to show. Anyway.

So we all saw the car coming up, just a normal car with a man inside, probably travelling back from visiting his grandchildren or something. I felt bad doing this to an old man, but hey, who really cares! We were just having fun. So everyone was cheering me on and I waited for the car to edge up to the back of the bus, then I lifted my shirt and my bra and waved my chest around proudly. The man looked up at me and I was surprised he didn’t wreck with the look he had on his face. My friends who saw it laughed and gave me a high five exclaiming to the others the look that the man had on his face. We all giggled and laughed hysterically until we saw flashing lights behind us. Then, we just kind of stopped and looked back. Um... were we speeding?

Next thing I knew, the bus was pulling over and this old man was stepping on the bus and explaining to the coach that a student in the backseat of the bus was exposing body parts out the window and that was a serious offense in the court of law. I slid down in my seat and was thankful for the darkness because I was blushing so badly. Everyone was turning around to look at me and I felt so humiliated. The coach apologized for my behavior and assured the man that this would be taken care of. I took it upon myself to apologize as well, then he stepped off the bus.

“Brianna, up to the front of the bus,” the coach yelled. I gulped and stood up, moving towards the front of the bus and Anastasia patted me on the back trying to reassure me that everything would be okay. I made it to the front seat and the coach stood up and told me to sit in her seat. And I sat in the front of the bus next to the coach like I was a five year old who couldn’t handle sitting next to the other kids. “I don’t think that your brother will be too happy about this,” she murmured. I sank down in my seat. Terrence definitely DIDN’T need to know about this...

Of course, he found out. The minute we got off the bus and I saw Terrence I tried to rush him out of there, but it was too late. The coach was calling his name and asking to speak with him for a minute. She explained to him that I flashed an unmarked police car and that he had pulled the bus over and considered arresting me. That was the last thing I needed, getting arrested again. Terrence just glared at me every couple of seconds and I kept my eyes focused on the ground beneath me. Finally, she shut up and Terrence practically shoved me to the car. I plopped down in the seat and looked out the window where Anastasia and Ashton were standing and I waved goodbye to them, like I was being sentenced to ten years in jail or something and they waved back and I felt so stupid for having flashed a cop car out of all of the things I could have flashed...

“What the hell were you thinking?!” Terrence yelled, slamming the keys into the ignition and turning them angrily then backing out of the parking lot.

“Uhmmm... well, we were playing truth or dare and...”

“What if he would have taken you off the bus and arrested you?!” he interrupted. “What if he would have been some old man perv who followed you to the school then kidnapped you and raped you!” His ideas were a little farfetched. “And don’t give me that look, Brianna Nicole, because you know that something like that could very well happen.” I tried not to roll my eyes. “Well, we’re going to have a long talk about this when we get home,” he concluded.

Then I protested. “But it’s not fair!” I said, slamming my fist down on the console. “I’m the only girl my age that still gets spanked! I’m too old for that!”

He looked at me. “Brianna, you are never too old to get spanked and as long as you are under my roof, you will follow my rules and my punishments, do you understand me?”

I almost started crying. I didn’t want a spanking. I honestly didn’t think that I actually deserved one... “Yes, sir,” I muttered. A tear slipped down my cheek.

“Bri... I know you don’t understand, but someday you will.”

I just wiped the tear away and ignored him. Right then the only thing I was concerned about was my bottom.

We pulled into the driveway and I walked slowly towards the door, pacing myself for what was ahead. We finally got inside and Terrence shut the door behind us, locked the door, then took his jacket off. He sat down on the couch. “Come here,” he said sternly.

I shuffled to his side.

“Brianna, you’re only 16 years old, and you know that older men will try and take advantage of you, especially if you give them incentive.”

I nodded.

“If that guy would have been some pedophile creep, he might not have kidnapped you tonight, but he could have stalked you and eventually gotten around to it. And I don’t want that happening to you. Your my little sister and I care about you too much to let you find yourself in that kind of situation, okay?”

“Okay,” I said quietly, staring at the floor. He lifted my chin and made me look into his eyes. He looked so worried about me. I let another tear slip down my cheek, this time because I felt bad 'cause Terrence was the only person who cared about me and time after time I let him down. “I’m sorry,” I muttered then hugged him tightly and pulled my pants down to my knees then lay myself across his lap. I felt him tug my panties down and I just closed my eyes and tried to breathe deeply.

SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK!!!

He wasted no time getting into rhythm... and he also didn’t warm up... just started spanking as rapidly and hard as possible. By the 15th smack or so, I was already squirming and exclaiming my pain and by the 30th smack I was kicking and yelping. Even through all the kicking and yelping and begging and pleading, he didn’t let up one bit. My bottom was on fire and I just wanted him to stop so I could at least have a tiny break and feel some cool air, but he didn’t stop and my bottom just kept getting more roasted. And before I knew it, I was bawling into the couch cushions that had soaked up tons of snot and tears already before, and now it was soaking up more. And I was crying so heavily that I began hiccupping and I couldn’t stop crying to save my life, even after he stopped spanking and tried to soothe and console me.

For a while the only thing that could be heard in the house was my crying and hiccupping, and then when that died down, there was no noise. It was just all silence.

Finally, Terrence spoke. “I love you, Bri.”

“I love you, too,” I answered.

He picked me up and hugged me and I let out a slight smile then pulled my panties and pants back up and wiped the tears out of my eyes.

“Goodnight,” I said then hobbled to my room where I flopped down on my bed, exhausted from all the playing soccer and getting spanked. It took me no time to drift into a peaceful sleep where my bottom didn’t hurt until the next morning when I woke up.

Story: District Championships

Part of the Terrence/Brianna series.  All of those practices paid off as the soccer team heads to district championships.  But the other team is playing dirty and Bri starts a fight that she shouldn't.  Luckily, it didn't get her kicked off the team for good.  But it did get her a good spanking.

District Championships
by Breanna Carter

It was the month of district championships for soccer and it was obvious by the way we were working. We had practices during school and after school, and those of us that had study hall during seventh period had even more soccer. It was becoming very hectic. But, I can’t say that I didn’t like it, especially since sometimes we scrimmaged against the boys’ soccer team. Ashton was on their team and it was pretty nifty getting to see him running around on the field, even if he was faster than me 'cause he was about a foot taller.

The practices were getting stricter and stricter. Any girl who showed up late for a practice was unable to play in the next game and she would probably have to sit out during the district champs that we were so set on winning. We ran twice as much, dribbled twice as much... basically just worked twice as much. I’d come home from school so tired that I’d instantly take a shower then eat and go to bed, and trust me, I didn’t wake up at five in the morning. I slept as much as I could and my leg muscles were hurting so much, but from the looks of it, we were going to make it to championships and I was one of the ones they were talking about for the first string. (Do they call them that in soccer?)

The game that determined whether we would make it to the district championships was held on a Thursday evening in October, the week before the championships themselves. I felt so lucky to be playing first string offense because there were so many other girls who wanted to do that. It was really weird, the way things worked out. All of the starters just happened to be really good friends. Jayna and I were both starting offense, and Anastasia was starting defense, and then the rest of the starters were in our group. Very ironic.

Fortunately, we won the game. You could definitely tell it, too. The girls from the other team were scowling and throwing stuff and we were yelling and hugging each other like we’d just won the world cup. It was so cool for me to actually be going to a championship game... I’d never even seen one before. And I had heard that with me on the team this year, we were more likely to win. That made me realllly giddy.

“Good game tonight, Bri,” I heard someone say behind me. I turned around to see Ashton standing there, the most gorgeous smile on his face. If I hadn’t been smelly and sweaty, I’d probably have tackled him right there and made out with him in front of everyone, but uh, I restrained myself.

“Thanks,” I said, throwing my soccer bag over my shoulder.

“Ashton!” I heard Anastasia call, then saw her running towards her older brother. “We won! We won! Can you believe it?!” She tackled him in a hug, which is what I wanted to do, then danced around happily.

“I can definitely believe it. You guys played awesome.”

“It’s 'cause of me and Bri,” she said, winking at me.

Ashton smiled. “That’s right.”

“Hey, Bri... after the championships, we’ll have a party at my house, k?”

I laughed a bit, but Ashton gave her an admonishing look. “Yeah, right, kiddo. You WISH we were having a party at our house.”

She shrugged. “Oh, well. See ya tomorrow!” She hugged me then pranced off with Ashton to his car. I just sighed wondering why the hell I had to have such a big crush on my best friend’s older brother.

I stayed on the field for a little while as the crowd diminished and people randomly came up to me and said “good game.” Terrence was sitting at the top of the bleachers and he knew that I’d rather wait for a little while and talk to everyone before I left, so he just waited up there.

“You were awesome tonight, Bri,” Jayna said. Everyone sure was doing a great job boosting my self-esteem.

“You were great, too,” I answered, grinning.

“We’re gonna kick ass at the champs. I couldn’t believe how great our defense was tonight... Last year we won this game 2-1. I can’t believe you scored three goals!”

I gloated for a moment, feeling bigger than the empire state building, but then I brought myself back to reality. “Thanks, Jay, really. But I couldn’t have done it without everyone else. It was an awesome game tonight. The defense didn’t let anyone get past ‘em.”

She nodded. “You’re SO going to be the team captain next year.”

I blinked. That wasn’t what I was expecting to hear. “I doubt it. You’re much better than me and you’ve been on the team longer.”

“No, I’m serious, Bri. I don’t want to be captain. They know I’m crappy at leading everyone. You’re going to be it. I can sense it.”

I tried not to inflate my head too much, but it was hard with everyone telling me how great I was! Another kid passed by and said good game then I looked at Jayna. “Well, if it’s meant to be, then I guess it will. But, I still doubt it.”

She just grinned. “See ya tomorrow, Bri!”

“Later!”

I figured it was about time to be heading home, especially when I saw Terrence standing near the field at the bottom of the bleachers.

I smiled and waved to him and he just mocked me by doing the same. “If you tell me how well I played tonight, I’m going to have such a big head that it’ll explode or something,” I said.

“Well you were terrible!” he joked.

“I didn’t say to stomp all over my self-esteem!” I said, playfully punching him in the arm. He playfully punched me back, except, uh, it hurt. I just rolled my eyes and we were on our way home.

The next afternoon we didn’t practice, surprisingly enough. But, we’d have triple practice the next four days. It didn’t bother me because we got to sit in the grass while the coach congratulated us on a job well done and told us that after we won the district champs, we’d be going to state where we’d compete until we received the title of state champions. She said that she had the starters all planned out for the district game and named them out, all of whom we figured were going to be on the list. She explained the state procedure to all of us who hadn’t been on the team previously. We’d ride on an ugly yellow school bus on a Thursday afternoon and stay in a hotel that night until Friday when the games were. We’d play different teams and they would eliminate the teams that lost. If we were one of the top four teams, we would play on Saturday night. It made me even giddier to hear about state championships because I would be rooming with Anastasia and we’d have tons of fun together and stuff. And it made me feel like I had accomplished something.

The weekend was over before I knew it and then our strenuous week began. When she said we’d have triple the amount of practice, she wasn’t joking! We practiced everyday at school and three hours afterwards, except Wednesday. She told us that we needed to rest but to be prepared for the game on Thursday. And thus, Thursday arrived.

It was a day like any other, except for the huge pep rally held in the gym during fourth period. The entire school was there to cheer us on, not just the high school, but the middle school, too. We had tons of kids cheering for us as they called each name. The team captain spoke, and the coach spoke and said that we were definitely going to win because we were the best team that she’d had in years. She also said that we were having another scrimmage against the boys’ team during 6th and 7th period for any classes who wanted to come. I looked in the bleachers straight at Ashton and he was grinning at me. Something told me that we’d definitely win the championships that day. I could see it in everyone’s eyes.

And of course, we had a victory over the boys’ team, once again, proving that we were better than they were! We were all hyped up from the pep rally and the scrimmage and everything. Nothing could dampen our spirits. Well, maybe one thing.

After seventh period, none of us left. Instead we took showers in the girls’ locker room. This time I was sure to bring shampoo and soap and a towel. Usually, I forgot these things, but this time I wanted to feel good and clean before the game. After the showers we all dried our hair, and surprisingly, we didn’t blow a fuse. We changed into our clean uniforms then sat on the bench while our team captain talked to us.

“Okay, girls. We played this team last year and kicked ass, and they have lots of hard feelings against us. Don’t let them get to you, no matter what. I don’t care if they call you a bitch or a whore or any vulgar name, you MUST keep your cool, okay?”

We nodded.

“I KNOW we can beat this team again and take the district championships home with us.” She grinned. “All right everyone, hands in!” We all put our hands in like in the shows you see on TV where they’re getting pepped up for a game. We cheered for ourselves then happily skipped out of the locker room and into the bus.

“Are you nervous?” Anastasia asked me when we sat down in our seat at the very back.

“Nahh, I’m fine. How about you?”

“I’m nervous as hell. I heard tons of stuff about this team, how they like to threaten us and stuff. And one girl got a foul last year for kicking some girl purposely. I just don’t want to get hurt. I really wanna play in the state champs.”

“You’ll be fine, Anastasia. I’ll make sure no one even THINKS about hurting you, k?”

She smiled. “Thanks, Bri.”

The rest of the ride everyone sang different songs and hooted and yelled and everything. The boys had had their game on Wednesday night and won, and we knew if THEY could win that, we could win, too.

When we arrived to the field it was getting darker outside. I was beginning to feel a few butterflies flurrying in my stomach, but I tried not to let it get to me. The stadium was so huge and there were so many people there on both sides, and the game wasn’t even close to starting yet! We still had to warm up and the game didn’t start until 7ish or something.

But before I knew it, we were warmed up and ready to kick some ass. Anastasia and I were passing the ball to one another and hopping up and down because of the super adrenaline rush we were having. And finally the coach ordered us to the sidelines and we all sat in a huddle while she encouraged us to play our hardest no matter what. Then we did the huddle thing where we all put our hands in and chanted and then we screamed and jumped up and down and I hugged Anastasia, remembering my promise to her that I wouldn’t let any asshole hurt her.

There was an announcer on the intercom who said which teams were playing and stuff, and it was really weird 'cause I’d never had an announcer before. I wondered how he would call the game since he didn’t know who we were, but I didn’t think about it long because when I got on the field, it seemed as if no one were there except my team and the other team. I could not hear the announcer’s voice. I could not hear the audience clapping and cheering for us. I took a deep breath in and waited for the game to begin.

Everything went perfect through the first and second quarter. The other team was already hating me, I could tell, because I scored on them twice and assisted a score. In fact, one really bitchy girl was groaning and complaining about me and I just brushed it off like the team captain had said. It wasn’t like she mattered to me. Between the second and third quarter, we got our little pep talk and she put me back in the game and cheered us on. The crowd was wild for us. It was so amazing.

I guess that’s when I got bad vibes. Right when the third quarter began. I wasn’t nervous or anything, just got these bad vibes, especially when I looked at this girl from the other team. She was giving me this really evil look every chance she got, and it was beginning to piss me off. Everything felt slow motion, like things always do when they go wrong. I remember that I looked back and there she was, right next to Anastasia, dribbling the ball towards the goal, and I was standing there, staring her down, and she passed the ball to someone else and her leg went up to kick Anastasia right in the stomach, I could tell... and I don’t know what came over me, but it was like I went crazy and tackled her, right as Anastasia hopped backwards to prevent herself from getting kicked. We both tumbled to the ground and the whistle was blown loudly. The girl shoved me off of her.

“What the fuck are you doing!” she yelled.

The slow motion stopped. I blushed seeing that everyone was looking at me... all the players, all the audience. Then I shrugged it off. “You were going to fucking kick her!”

I stood up and she stood up, too, pushing me back to start a fight. I wondered why everyone was just standing there watching instead of doing something, or maybe it was just the adrenaline in my mind that was making me move faster than everyone else. I swung right back at her and just began hitting her and everything until I felt myself being pried off of her. It didn’t take much to pry me, because I knew that what I was doing was a bad idea. But, I was pissed as hell! That girl had the nerve to try and kick my best friend THEN act shitty towards me? I was GLAD to see that her nose was bleeding.

“Calm down,” Anastasia whispered to me. I looked up to see that all eyes were still looking towards me and the refs and the coaches were running towards us. The fight hadn’t lasted as long as it felt. It felt like it had lasted for hours, or at least minutes, but it only lasted mere seconds because once Anastasia saw me punch the girl, she was already dragging me off.

My team was standing around, staring at me disappointedly. My coach was yelling at me and the ref was calling a foul on my behalf, which meant a free kick for the other team that almost always resulted in a goal. The other coach was carrying on saying that I should be suspended for the rest of the year, and the ref said that it wasn’t necessary, but I’d have to sit out the rest of the game. Lucky me. District Championships and I had to sit out for half of the game because some asshole was trying to beat up on my friend.

I didn’t have much time to be pissed at everyone else because the coach was dragging me as fast as her legs would take her to the bench. She sent in another player and sat me on the bench.

“What the hell is going on through your mind, Brianna!” she yelled. “You could be suspended from the team! Do you want that?!”

I shook my head.

“Well I sure as hell wouldn’t have known that by what just happened.”

I looked down at the ground and the game carried on as usual. The other team scored on their free kick, but it wasn’t enough to put them in the lead. In the end, we still won, three to one. The coach had it right when she said we should have had a better score. I felt so horrible and pissed at myself, I didn’t know what to do but sit there on the bench and accept consoling pats on the shoulder from my teammates. None of them, however, saw that the girl was going to kick Anastasia... my only hope was that SHE knew it was coming so at least someone would know that my actions were justified.

When the game was finally over, the coach looked at me and said that I better straighten up because she doesn’t want her team captain to get in fights. The whole team was on the field at this time, hugging each other and congratulating themselves. I smiled, glad that we had at least won, but still feeling shitty about the whole thing.

In fact, before too much longer, the whole school was down on the field, mobbing the soccer players and giving each other high fives. As the crowd thinned out, I felt someone standing next to me. I looked over to see Ashton. Seeing him made me avert my eyes back to the ground.

“Some stunt you pulled out there,” he said softly, disappointment in his voice.

“They were going to kick Anastasia,” I muttered.

“Either way, there’s other ways to handle things than pouncing on the opposite team.”

I didn’t answer.

“If you were my sister, I wouldn’t expect you’d be sitting comfortably for a while.”

I wanted to joke and tell him that I was glad I wasn’t his sister, but my heart wasn’t in it. I knew when I got home I’d be wishing that I was his sister, because I was sure Terrence would be giving me something I wouldn’t forget anytime soon, and although Terrence wasn’t as tall as Ashton, he was more cut and definitely stronger. I’d let Ashton spank me before Terrence any day.

He put his arm around me. “It’s okay, Bri. You’ll still be able to play in the state champs and you’re still in the running for team captain. My freshman year, something like that happened to me. Only the guy was headed for me instead of my best friend. I’d never have done what I did for somebody else... and I’m sure you wouldn’t have done it if it were you. But, I’m the team captain now. Everyone screws up, okay? Don’t let yourself feel too down. No one will remember it tomorrow. Everybody will be talking about the victorious win. Besides, you scored two of the goals. You should feel at least a little good about yourself.”

I was trying to feel a little good about myself, but it wasn’t working.

Just then, Anastasia came hopping over towards me. “Oh, Bri!” she exclaimed, hugging me tightly. “I love you SO much. You were awesome tonight. And don’t worry, I saw that asshole... er.. girl was about to kick me, even if nobody else believes you.”

I had to smile at that statement. At least someone had seen.

“And don’t worry 'cause the other girls saw, too. And it’s going to be okay!” She tightened her hug on me. “You’re the greatest.” She looked at Ashton. “Party at the house tomorrow night?” she asked.

He gave her that look. “We’ll see.”

She yelped with joy and hugged him. “See ya tomorrow, Bri. Cheer up!” she said.

“Yeah,” Ashton said, smiling slightly. “Cheer up.”

I couldn’t help but smile back at him with this twinkle in my eyes. My crush for Ashton just got bigger!

I guess I probably decided about the same time Terrence did that I really didn’t want to stay at this game afterwards to talk to anyone 'cause I felt so rotten inside. We met below the stands towards the exit and I hung my head. Now, I had to face what was coming at home.

“I’m sorry,” I said so softly that it was a whisper.

“I know,” he answered, putting his hand on my back and leading me towards the car.

“I didn’t want them to hurt Anastasia,” I said, figuring I might as well state my case now.

“Fighting’s never right, Brianna.”

“I know.”

“If you knew then why did you do it anyway?”

I shrugged.

He opened my car door for me and I got in, throwing my bag into the backseat then burying my head into my hands, the most comfortable position when I didn’t want to face what was ahead. I heard him turn the car on and then he backed out and headed towards the house. The car was basically filled with silence, except for the soft playing of the radio. I wanted the car ride to last forever, so I wouldn’t have to face Terrence’s disappointment, so I wouldn’t have to go to school the next day and hear the people whispering about me in the hallways about what a troublemaker I was, so I wouldn’t have to listen to the coach when she announced the starters for the state championship games. Unfortunately, nothing really lasts forever, and we pulled up into the driveway.

“Can I take a shower before we have our talk?” I asked, knowing what was coming.

He nodded.

I went on into the shower and let the water wash away all of the emotions I was feeling. I let it wash away the tears I was already crying because I was so disappointed in myself. I probably stayed in there a super long time, but no one said anything. Terrence just waited patiently in the living room watching TV until I came in, hair wrapped up in a towel wearing my thin pajama pants and a T-shirt. He flipped off the TV and I stood in front of him.

“Bri, when did you start letting your anger take over your actions?”

“I don’t know.”

He nodded. “What you did tonight showed really poor judgment. It showed that you aren’t responsible enough to not let emotions control your body.”

“But...”

“I understand that you saw the girl trying to hit Ana... and I understand that you were thinking on the spur of the moment. That doesn’t make the situation right.”

I nodded.

“You can’t go around picking fights with everyone who tries to hurt Anastasia.”

“But, wouldn’t you do it if they were doing that to me?”

He wasn’t expecting that question. He sat there for a few minutes and looked at me. “No, Bri, I wouldn’t fight anyone who hurt you. You mean more to me than anyone would ever imagine. But there’s a place that even I have to draw the line. Getting in fights is against the law. It’s called disturbing the peace. You could get some jail time for it. Did you know that?”

I shook my head. I really didn’t know that.

“Well you could. And your my little sister and I’d die for you, and I’m not going to let you go to jail, okay?”

“Okay.”

“And I’m going to punish you to make sure that next time you want to do something so stupid, you’ll think about it twice, okay?”

I nodded.

He moved me towards him and tugged my pajama pants down to my knees then pulled me over his lap. I took a deep breath in and buried my face into the couch before I began crying again. Then I felt him pull my panties down to meet my PJ pants and I braced myself. This would hurt a lot.

The thing I didn’t realize, though, was that I didn’t see the hairbrush sitting on the coffee table. That’s why the first whack caught me by so much surprise I yelped loudly and nearly fell off of his lap from it stinging so much. He just wrapped his arm tight around me to get a good grip then sent it crashing down on my bottom again, just as hard, causing me to yelp just as loudly. After two whacks, I was already regretting that I had gotten in a fight. Of course, I knew I wasn’t going to get off that easily, especially when he landed four more whacks, one right after the other, crashing down on my bottom, and then landed four more, and four more, and so on in rhythm and before I knew it, I was bawling and kicking and squirming. He didn’t let up at all, but began spanking my sit spots in groups of four, then my bottom again, then my sit spots again, until he finally concentrated on my sit spots for about 16 smacks and I just bawled and clenched my fists tightly and it took me a minute to realize that he was all done and the loud screaming that I was hearing was my own. I tried to quiet down but I was already feeling bad for letting everyone down and now my bottom felt like it had been set ablaze.

“Shhhhhhh, Bri,” Terrence said, rubbing my back. “Shhhhh, it’s okay. I’m all finished, little sis. It’s all over. You’re forgiven. It’s over, honey. I love you.”

His voice was so comforting to my emotions, but not to the pain in my backside. I felt like I wouldn’t be able to sit for a month with the way he had spanked me.

My crying finally died down and I guess he figured that my bottom was feeling better because he instantly scooped me up in his arms and gave me a big hug. “You’re the greatest little sis ever, and if you don’t wanna go to school tomorrow, you don’t have to.”

I smiled through the tears that were still streaming down my face. As much as I didn’t want to go to school, with sore legs from running and a sore bottom from fighting, I knew that I had to face my classmates someday, and besides, I wanted to go to Anastasia’s party or at least help her beg Ashton to have one. “Thanks,” I whispered. “But I'ma go.”

He kissed my forehead then stood me up and pulled my panties back up. He went to get my PJ pants, but I told him that he could just leave those there. Then he carried me to my room and placed me down gently on my stomach and tucked me in. I felt like I was four again, but at least I felt okay, and I knew that my brother loved me and I was forgiven for fighting. And that was comforting to sleep on even if my bottom wasn’t.

The next morning I got up, still aching in my rear end area, but not so much in my legs. I managed to dress myself, for once thankful that I was wearing a skirt instead of pants because pants would be really painful against my sore bottom. I drove uncomfortably to school and got there early, the third time all year. Anastasia instantly greeted me.

“I was hoping you’d get here early today,” she said. “Did everything go okay with Terrence last night? He looked pretty pissed.”

“Yeah, everything went okay, I guess.”

“Did he... um... well... you know...”

I smiled, knowing myself how hard it was to say that word. “Yeah, he did, and it hurts like hell! Did you talk Ashton into the party?”

She grinned. “Sure did! But I had to promise him no drinking or smoking which sucks, but that’s okay. Not like I do bad stuff like that anyway.”

I giggled a bit. “What’s the talk of the school about last night?”

“You’re the hero! Everyone totally saw you stick up for me and they also saw those two goals you made. They think you’re super brave.”

I smiled. There came that swelled head again. “Well, at least everything’s okay.”

She nodded.

Maybe school wouldn’t be so bad after all.

Story: Bad Grades

Part of the Terrence/Brianna series.  Bri hasn't been doing her best at school and her report card shows it.  But Terrence doesn't seem too concerned about it.  This leaves her feeling guilty, and it just won't go away.  She decides to confide in her new best friend, Anastasia, about the punishments she gets at home and whether or not she should ask for one.

Bad Grades
by Breanna Carter

“BRIANNA!!!” Terrence yelled from the living room when he got home from work. Apparently he had seen the report card I left on the table. I knew I was in for it. At the time he called my name, I was mentally preparing myself. Of course, it wasn't that I didn't deserve it. I mean, how did I manage to get a D in English, my best subject? It was clearly because the teacher was a bitch and I couldn't help the fact that I hated her and blew off her class. But, Terrence wouldn't understand that. Not that I expected him to. I was the one who promised him that I'd do better.

I walked slowly into the living room, making sure that I was hanging my head and looking very remorseful for my low grade. This new school system crap sucked. We had six week report cards instead of nine week report cards. At least if I had been at my other school, I'd have had three more weeks to bring up my grades. But, nooo.

“How'd you manage a D in English?” Terrence asked me calmly when I found myself standing in front of him, staring at his shoes.

“I... um... it's a hard class,” I mumbled, looking up at him.

He gave me that look as if saying yeah right. “Really... You did know there was a note on her requesting that I call your teacher?”

Hmm, must've missed that note. “...no,” I answered, looking back down at his shoes.

“Look up at me, Brianna.” I complied, looking in his eyes. “I'd feel better if I heard it from you than your teacher.”

I nodded, on the verge of tears because this huge knot was welling up in my stomach and I felt so horrible for letting him down like that. Especially after promising that I'd do better in school. I bit my lower lip with nervousness. “I've been messing around in class... I haven't been doing my work, and I've been sent out of class a few times for goofing off. I'm really sorry, Terrence. I'll do better, I promise.”

He nodded. “Sit,” he ordered, pointing to the couch.

I quickly flopped down on the couch and held my head in my hands, hearing Terrence walk towards the kitchen and grab the phone. He dialed the seven numbers then sat down next to me. “Hello, this is Terrence Carter...” pause. “Yes, I'm Brianna's older brother and I received a note on the report card to call you...:” I stopped listening because I figured that I didn't want to hear it. I knew it was entirely my fault for failing the quizzes and tests and not turning in the homework. The class wasn't even that hard... I just wanted to piss the teacher off. Why the hell was I so stupid?

I tried to take my mind off of the matter at hand. I thought about soccer practice and how much fun we were having and how tomorrow was the day where we didn't have any classes, just watched all of the teams perform, the girls and boys soccer teams played against each other for the school, the dance team performed, we heard the orchestra and band, saw the gymnastics team, and tons of other nifty stuff. I'd only been to one of these and it was the greatest. And after that, we'd be starting a new schedule where we had 7 classes a day, either two activities or one activity and a study hall. Anastasia and I were thinking about joining the lacrosse team, but we'd have to try out first, so we thought maybe just having study hall would be better... it'd be somewhere we could goof off and pass notes and maybe I could get some English homework done.

I heard Terrence hang up the phone and it snapped me back into reality. “Bri... I'm really disappointed in you.” I didn't answer. “I thought you were going to try and get good grades to get a scholarship, and I know you can do it. Your teacher says that you did well on most of the test, but the fact that you neglected to turn in the homework and you neglected to pay attention is what brought you down. She also said that you could bring your grades up.”

I nodded.

“Well,” he said, sighing. “Just try and do better.”

I blinked.

He stood up and walked to the kitchen. “TV dinners for dinner tonight, that okay?” he asked.

I was still dumbfounded. Just try and do better? “Yeah, that's fine,” I murmured, wondering if he was just stalling to make me anxious. I waited on the couch for a few minutes, just sitting there, not really doing anything but wondering what the hell just happened.

Terrence peeked his head in the living room. “You okay, Bri?”

“Yeah,” I answered. “Are you okay?”

He grinned. “I'm okay, just a little disappointed in you. But hey, it's your decision to do well in school, not mine. Screw up your grades if you want and you'll just be going back where you came from.”

I nodded and watched him walk back inside. I just went to my room and plopped down on my bed, turning on John Mayer and letting it fill the emptiness that I felt at that moment. I hated having my brother so mad at me, hated feeling like I wasn't forgiven. He tried so hard to do the best for me, to make sure that I didn't end up a screw up, that I had a better chance than he did. We both knew the only way I could get to college would be on a scholarship, and it didn't seem like that was going to happen anytime soon. And I just felt so bad...

Next thing I knew, it was dark outside and my John Mayer CD had stopped playing and Terrence was at my doorway asking me if I was ready to eat. “Yeah,” I muttered, yawning and looking at the clock to see that it was already after seven and I had taken a damn nap that I shouldn't have taken because I'd never be able to go back to sleep.

We ate in silence in front of the TV, of course, because that's where you're supposed to eat TV dinners. Friends was on and even though it was funny as hell, I was still depressed and I wanted to go back to sleep or something because I couldn't stand the silent treatment I was getting from Terrence. I felt a sense of deja vu... this had happened before, hadn't it? I did, however, manage to sit there through two more TV shows before I took a shower and went on to bed, saying that I didn't feel too well, which was partly true. I cranked up John Mayer once again and didn't get past the third song before I was in my own dreamland. Okay, so I was wrong about not being able to go to sleep that night.

The next morning I woke up before Terrence did which was super unusual because he left before I even woke up most of the time. It was five in the morning and I wondered why the hell I was awake. Why the hell WAS I awake? I rolled over and tried to go back to sleep, but my efforts were futile and I vowed never to go to sleep that early again.

I finally stumbled through the hallway to the couch and lay down, turning the TV on to a low volume. I should have known that there was nothing on TV at 5am... during the summer that's all I did was stay up all night watching TV. But I DID know that Saved by the Bell came on at five-thirty, so I just watched some dumb show on Nickelodeon until five-thirty then I turned on Saved by the Bell. It was the episode where Jesse gets hooked on caffeine pills and Slater tries to tell her that they weren't good for her. In my opinion she just needed to be spanked, that'd teach her. Oh God, I couldn't believe I was saying those things. I smacked myself in the head and tried to get it off of my mind, but somewhere in my head I knew that I needed a spanking for my grades, and as much as I hated to admit it, it was true.

About halfway through the show, Terrence came into the living room having just got out of the shower. “What are you doing up so early?” he said, pulling his undershirt over his head. I moved my feet so he could sit down next to me.

“I dunno, I was wondering the same thing,” I answered, staring at the TV because I still had that guilty pit in my stomach.

I felt a hand on my forehead. “You don't feel warm,” he said, smirking.

I glared at him. “I feel fine. I went to bed too early last night. You can bet that I won't tonight.”

He grinned. “Well, you can't stay up too late.” I looked at him. Both shoes were tied now and he was sitting there in his khakis and an undershirt, his work shirt thrown over his shoulder.

“I won't.”

He ruffled my hair. “Something bothering you, kiddo?” he asked, standing up and putting his work shirt on, buttoning it up and finally tucking it in.

“No.” He buckled his belt and I couldn't help but stare at it. I had a deathly fear of that belt.

“Well, I'll still call you later to make sure you're still up.”

I nodded.

“Have fun watching reruns,” he teased and I couldn't help but smile a bit because he was my older brother and he loved me so much and he knew that I felt bad for what I did and that's probably why he didn't spank me. I gave him a quick hug before he left then made myself comfortable again to watch more TV. Joy.

I even got to school early that morning, much to Anastasia's surprise. In fact, I'd only met her once before school and that was probably on the second day of school. Since then I'd been promising to meet her, but I always made it there five minutes before the bell rang. Therefore, we only talked at lunch and at soccer.

“Wow! Someone's here bright and early!” she said sarcastically, leaving her group of friends to walk with me.

“Yeah, it's pretty damn early all right,” I muttered.

“Hey, what's wrong? Get in tons of trouble last night?” Anastasia and I hadn't spoken of the first day of school since the second day of school when we joked about how pissed our brothers were. I wasn't planning on telling her that I'd gotten spanked, but since she was my best friend for the moment and I felt shitty about my grades, I decided now would be a good time to tell her. Besides, we still had 20 minutes to kill before the bell.

“That's just it,” I began, “I didn't get in any trouble...”

“Well, hey! That's always a good thing.”

I led us over to a more secluded area because I knew it'd be totally embarrassing if the entire school knew that I was still spanked. “It IS a good thing... but, I feel bad. 'Cause I know Terrence is pissed at me, and I didn't get in trouble and... I know this sounds really dumb, but I feel like I SHOULD be in trouble.”

She looked at me awkwardly. “Why don't you just not do anything until you finish your homework every night?” she asked.

I sighed. I knew that I had to tell her... she and I were pretty good friends by now and if she ever spent the night with me or anything, it'd be best that she knew. Or maybe Terrence was veering away from spanking me? I always thought that it'd be a good thing, but this guilt trip was making me feel worse! “Okay... I gotta tell you something, but you have to promise me that you won't tell anyone.”

She nodded. I had no idea what she was expecting to hear.

“Okay, well I've been living with Terrence since my parents died, about four years ago... and a little while after they died I didn't think I had any friends so I went to the store with some people I thought were my friends and they were stealing and I thought I'd be cool if I did, too, and I did... and we all got caught and Terrence had to come pick me up and well...” I paused, taking a deep breath in. What if she told Ashton? What would Ashton think of me then? “Well, I got in trouble...” I stopped.

She looked at me. “Bri... just spit it out.”

“I get spanked.” There, I said it. It was out in the open and now I had to prepare to get made fun of.

“Really?” she asked in disbelief.

I nodded and waited for her to mock me.

“OH, MY GOD! I thought I was the only one.” Then she did the unexpected and HUGGED me. Anastasia wasn't like Stephanie or even Jayna... she kept mostly to herself and was really apathetic, so when she hugged me it came as a big shock. Then I realized what she said.

“Wait, you get spanked, too?”

She bit her lip and nodded. “Remember the first day of school when we got in trouble for pulling the fire alarm? I didn't think that Ashton would honestly spank me again, but he did and that's why I was having trouble running at soccer practice because it hurt.”

“Me, too!” I exclaimed giddily. It was nifty to know that I wasn't the only one in the world who still got spanked. “Wait, Ashton spanked you?”

“Yeah. He spanked me over the summer because I stole his car and drove it to a party and got a little trashed then drove it back home and made a scratch on his car. Luckily, I'd only hit a mailbox. Someone saw me and told me that's what it was.”

“Wow... for the longest time I thought I was the only one...”

“Me, too! So, what's this have to do with your current situation?”

I took another deep breath. “I feel bad for making bad grades and it was such a shock that I didn't get in trouble that I don't know what to do, because I know I honestly deserve to be punished...”

She gave me a semi weird look. “Bri, are you sure you want to be punished?”

I nodded.

“Just ask Terrence... Tell him you feel bad for what you've done and that you think you should be spanked. That's probably the basic idea of him doing this to you, because he knew that it'd affect you like this.” I took in what she said. Maybe I should tell Terrence. “But I don't like getting spanked... I don't want him to think that...”

“I'm sure he won't. Just tell him that you feel bad and you know you deserve to be punished 'cause you don't feel like you have his forgiveness yet...”

Hmm... that was a decent idea. “Okay, I can do that...” I replied, just in time for the bell to ring. “Good timing!”

“Definitely! Hey, are we signing up for study hall or lacrosse?” she asked me.

I thought about it for a moment. “I dunno, let's talk about it later. See you in the assembly!” We both ran our different ways to our classes because of our grade differences.

So, Ashton spanked Anastasia? That was interesting. I never imagined Ashton as that type of guy... he seemed so easy going and stuff. I could, however, imagine Anastasia getting spanked. She was just that type of girl, always finding herself in trouble. I couldn't be talking, though. I was probably in more trouble than she ever was.

Of course, I was so hung up in thinking about all of that I almost ran straight into Ashton. “Oh, um, sorry,” I mumbled, blushing like crazy because I was thinking of my new found information.

He smiled. “It's okay.”

I wondered if Anastasia would hate me if I went out with Ashton.

When I got home that evening, the first thing I did was take a shower. I had taken a shower at school after the game, but I still felt icky and I just wanted to get changed into my PJs before I spilt my guts to Terrence. Anastasia had pep-talked me the rest of the day at school, explaining that it would help me feel better and at least I would know that Terrence wasn't mad at me and that I was forgiven. I wondered if I was the only weirdo who ever asked anyone for a spanking.

Then, all too soon, Terrence pulled into the driveway then walked inside to find me sitting on the couch in my PJs. I looked up at him.

“Terrence,” I began, biting my lip. “I need to talk to you.”

He shut the door behind him and nodded, then sat down next to me. “Did you stay home from school today?”

I blinked, wondering why he would say that, then realized that I was in the exact same condition as I was when he left that morning. “Oh,” I said, letting out an uneasy giggle, “no, I went to school, we just had a game and I went ahead and took a shower.”

“Oh.” He paused. “So, what is it you want to talk about?”

My heart was pounding. After I said it, it was final. I breathed in then looked into his eyes. “I feel bad about my grades... and I... feel really guilty... and um...” I was trying to stall, but I knew I had to say it. “Will you spank me?” I spat out.

It didn't take him by surprise at all. Maybe Anastasia was right about that being what he wanted. “After all of these times that you've pleaded with me to do something other than spank you, this time you're asking me TO spank you?”

I nodded, feeling dumb already.

“Well, that shows that you're becoming responsible. That you're finally deciding to stand up and accept the consequences for your actions.”

I blushed.

“And you're right, you do deserve to be spanked, Brianna, and the only reason I didn't do it yesterday was because it was a test to see if you were really growing up.”

“I feel really bad for doing it, 'cause I know I screwed up, and it's my fault, and I don't want you to be mad at me. I just want you to spank me and forgive me.”

He moved over and hugged me. “You're a good kid, Bri. Do I tell you that enough?”

I smiled as I wiped the tear that was about to stream down my face.

He centered himself in the middle of the couch and patted his lap. I took a deep breath in once again, figuring that I asked for this and after it was over with, everything would be all better, except for my bottom, of course, which would be hurting like hell. I finally put myself over his knee and clenched my fists and waited. He tugged my pajama pants down to my knees, then pulled my panties down to meet them. I blushed when I knew that once again, my bare bottom was being exposed. I felt his hand resting on my bottom.

“I know you can do better in English than that, Bri. It's your best subject and a low grade is completely unacceptable. And I don't EVER want to hear of you getting sent out of class again, do you understand me?”

I nodded.

“I expect an answer out of you when I ask a question, Brianna.”

“Yes, sir,” I said.

“Good girl.” With that his hand lifted from my bottom and next thing I knew there were tons of smacks raining down on my bottom. I wasn't expecting it to hurt so much and before I knew it, I was yelping and kicking and biting my lip so hard that I was surprised it wasn't bleeding. It showed me that even when I ask for the spankings, they hurt like hell! He spanked and spanked and spanked, for a good two or three minutes, not letting up at all, just spanking rapidly and harshly, and after a while, I was crying like a baby and begging him to stop.

“Pleaseeee,” I begged. “Pleaseee stopppp, I-I'm sorrrryyyyy.” I kicked and squirmed and wiggled my bottom to keep him from spanking in the same spots, but he already knew that I'd do that and he kept spanking in the same spots anyway. Finally, I buried my face into the couch cushions and cried until his hand was resting softly on my reddened bottom and he was talking to me in a calming voice.

“Shhhh, shhh, Bri. It's okay. I'm all finished now. I'm finished. You're forgiven, honey.” He rubbed my back while I cried everything out, all the guilt and all of the bad feelings.

“I'll do my homework from now on, I promise,” I said. “And I won't get kicked out of class.”

“I know, Bri. I know.” He finally lifted me up and hugged me tightly. “Bring the grade up by next report card, okay?”

I nodded.

“If it's not, trust me, this will be much worse.”

“Yes, Terrence.” He kissed my forehead and lifted me, then pulled my pants and panties back up. As if Anastasia had ESP, the phone rang and it was her. I was still crying a little, but I managed to take the cordless phone and hobble to my room.

“Hey, Bri. Everything okay?”

“Yeah,” I whispered.

“So you told Terrence, huh?”

“Yeah,” I said, letting out a slight giggle and rubbing my bottom.

“Do you feel better now?”

“Much better.”

Story: Roommates

First of two stories in the Roommates mini series.  Two college students become roommates and help each other stay focused and disciplined.

Roommates
by Breanna Carter

It was my first year in college and my roommate was a junior named Candy who just moved from New York. Why she chose Louisiana out of all the places in the world was beyond me. She was pretty spiffy though, a thin girl an inch or two taller than me with dark hair and eyes. She liked a clean room and I liked spending my time doing better things than cleaning a room. But for the most part, we got along okay. I should have known, though, that eventually it would lead to a huge uproar...

"BREANNA!!!" she yelled one evening after entering the room to see clothes strolled around everywhere, candy wrappers on the floor, and crumped up pieces of paper scattered from the doorway to my bed and some even on top of her bed. She stomped her foot and began yelling. "GEEZE! Can't you keep the damn room looking decent!" She stormed over to her bed and began to do something but stopped, seeing that I was listening to my portible cd player and doing homework and I hadn't heard a word that she had said. She threw a fit, and a pillow right at my head. I scowled and took my headphones off then looked at her.

"WHAT!?!?" I screamed.

"What the hell is all this mess around here! I can barely step in the damn room without tripping over some of your shit!"

I rolled my eyes. "So what? Get over it," I answered, getting back to my homework.

"No, I will NOT get over it, Young Lady!" she said. She charged towards me and took my notebook and paper and threw it on the bed. "I am sick and tired of picking up after you! You are 18 years old! You should be able to pick up the room yourself!"

"Blah blah, whatever. I need to do my homework." I began to pick my notebook and paper from where she had thrown it but she wouldn't let me. Next thing I knew she was grabbing my upper arm and lifting me from the bed, only to sit down where I was and pull me over her lap. "What the hell are you doing!" I shrieked.

"Giving you what you deserve!" she answered, tugging my shorts and panties down to my knees. By this time I was terrified as hell of what exactly she was doing. THEN I felt her hand smack my ass REALLY hard.

"OWWWW!!!" I exclaimed, wiggling and squirming, trying to pry myself away from her strong grip.

SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK!!!!!!

"When I tell you to clean this room, Young Lady, SMACK SMACK SMACK!!! you WILL do it without any question SMACK SMACK SMACK!!! Do you understand me? SMACK SMACK SMACK!!!!"

"Oww! Ow, ow ow!!!! Stopp it!!!"

She didn't even let up, but really, she began spanking harder.

SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK!!!!!!

"OW! CANDY! STOPPP!!!" I whined, trying to roll off of her lap, but her grip was honestly too strong! It was so strong that it was aggravating.

"I will NOT stop Breanna Carter until I feel that you have learned a proper lesson! SMACK SMACK SMACK!!!!"

"Ow! Ow! OW!!"

She kept spanking as hard as she could and I kept squirming, more so when she began spanking my sit spots and then it was hurting so badly I began to cry. I felt so stupid for actually crying because my roommate was just spanking me, but it HURT so badly.

"I'm sorry," I muttered through some tears that were streaming down my face.

"Good!" she answered, landing more rapid spanks onto my red bottom causing me to yelp with pain. I stopped squirming and averted all of my energy towards crying. And then, like a miracle sent from heaven, she stopped spanking and let me lie there wailing like a baby.

I stayed there for quite a while, letting her soothe me with a soft voice and telling me that everything was okay, she was finished spanking me for then, but she wouldn't hesitate to do it again. That made me shudder, knowing how much I hated cleaning. I was finally lifted up and I pulled my panties back up, but left my shorts off because they would hurt too much on my very sore bottom. In fact, I even put my shorts in the dirty clothes hamper, along with the other clothes that were scattered. Then I threw all of the paper in the trashcan and looked up at Candy.

"That's a girl," she said, ruffling my hair.

"I have this huge history project that I have to finish for next week," I said. "And I don't want to do it."

"Well, you have to. I have a project I have to start on tonight, too. It's due tomorrow. So I guess I better get to the library."

I nodded, wondering why in the world she'd wait until the night before to begin a project.

Anyway, I ended up finishing my project well before nine that night, just about the same time Candy came in with hundreds of books and papers come out in every which direction. I was watching tv but got up to help her carry the stuff in because she looked like she was about to fall. My bottom was still sore from the previous events, so it didn't bother me to get off of my bed.

"Thanks," she muttered.

"Must be a big project," I said.

"Yeah, I have to stop procrastinating so much."

"Yes you sure do," I agreed.

She sat on the bed with her laptop, leaning against the wall. I began watching tv again, and every so often I'd hear the sound of an IM being sent then hear her typing back. And then, I'd see her look up at the tv, then look over at me, and bite her lip. Then the process would start all over again.

"Did you get your report finished yet?" I asked about eleven.

She was typing away on her laptop and ignoring me until I was over her shoulder and realized that she was having an IM conversation with someone. "CANDY!" I shrieked. "You have that entire project due tomorrow and you haven't done any of it have you!"

"Um.. Well, a little.." she stammered.

"A little is not enough!" I realized then that I was taking her role as the 'parent' of the dorm, but it didn't matter! She should get her work done. I saw her type to someone that she had to go, but before she could even send it, I had the computer off of her lap and I was dragging her to my bed. Luckily, she was only wearing a T-shirt and panties so after I pulled her over my knee, I just tugged her panties down. "Maybe this will give you an incentive to begin working on it!" I scolded.

"No! Breanna, you can't do this!" she yelled.

"Oh, I can't?" I answered, smacking her bottom really hard. "Just watch me!" I spanked her swiftly and kept my own firm grip on her, also feeling how sore my own bottom was and determined to make hers feel just as sore. I concentrated on her sit spots for a good thirty smacks to send her yelping and screaming like she was being kidnapped. Her bottom was turning dark pink, but I was not yet satisfied. I wouldn't be satisfied until I knew she'd have trouble sitting down like I was having.

"OWWWW!!! BREANNA THAT HURTS!!!"

"It's a spanking SMACK SMACK!!! It's supossed to hurt."

She yelped and kicked and I kept spanking and spanking until finally her bottom was a dark shade of red. She was crying heavily by this point in time. I rested my hand on her warm bottom and rubbed it gently.

"There, there, Candy," I said soothingly, hoping she didn't think the spanking was out of total payback. "It'll be okay. You just gotta work on your project before writing to your friends online." She sniffled then lifted herself up and hugged me tightly then whispered something in my ear that sounded like 'thank you.' Afterwards, she pulled her panties back up then stood up to finish her project. And I could've sworn she told her friend online that she got spanked. I also saw her blush and I think since then, we've had an unspoken plan that anytime either of us felt the other deserved a spanking, it would be given to her.

Story: Anastasia's First Day of School

Part of the Ashton/Anastasia series.  The same thing as Brianna's First Day of School but from Ana's point of view.

Anastasia’s First Day of School
by Breanna Carter

“Anastasia!” I heard Ashton yell loudly. “Hurry up!” He thought I was taking my precious time in the bathroom to get ready, but really I was still in bed half asleep. He wasn’t supposed to know, but he kind of found out when he stormed into my room and found me lying peacefully under my covers. “What the hell are you doing!” he growled, pulling the covers off of me and smacking my upturned bottom HARD.

“Owwwww,” I squealed, my hands flying to my bottom that had at first felt protected, but after that smack, it wasn’t quite as protected as I imagined it being.

“Get dressed!” He left the room slamming the door and walking angrily through the house. I hated the first day of school. It was bad enough that I had to suffer through the damn private school, but I also had to deal with the teachers asking about my family. We were a little too prominent for my own good. Everyone knew my mother and father. They had just split up over the summer and Mom moved away to Florida where there were all beaches and skin cancer. My father was a big time business man, the owner of a few companies here in town, and spent more time in New York City than he did at home. I guess it didn’t bother me that much. Of course, you’d think that with Ashton being the one who raised me, we’d have ice cream for breakfast and fast food for supper, but surprise, we didn’t. We actually attempted to have real meals like a real family. It was so dysfunctional that it was pathetic.

I decided to go ahead and get up since Ashton didn’t look like he was in too much of a pleasant mood. I guess he was kind of pissed that he was given the job of parent while Dad was out of town on his business trip. Oh well, I didn’t care too much. So long as he didn’t decide to spank me like he did once while the parents were away. My philosophy was simple... what he doesn’t know won’t hurt him. And thus far, it seemed to work. The first day of school was always good for playing pranks, especially at a public school where no one knew you already. At a private school it was harder, and I had to settle for pranks like the good ole putting a bucket over the door so when the teacher walks in it pours all over her. Ashton taught me that one, before he got so uptight. I knew that I shouldn’t try that this school year, 'cause after a while, it’d be a little obvious that I’d be the one behind it. I wasn’t sure what prank I could pull for the new year, but I knew it had to be good.

In a matter of seconds, I was dressed and ready to go. School uniforms were a bitch. I guess that’s what I hated most about going to a private school. But I didn’t really have a choice of where I went. I guess my parents couldn’t have chosen a better school. I had been part of the lacrosse team for years and this was the first year that I decided to go for the soccer team instead. Both were state champs, although the soccer team was better than the lacrosse team and everyone knew it. In fact, nearly everything at our school was a state champ, or at least a district champ. We had all kinds of sports, soccer and lacrosse of course, basketball, volleyball, tennis, and even a golf team. We also had tons of music programs that were great, like choir, band, orchestra, and a symphonic orchestra. We had dance and writer’s clubs and science clubs and the school was just an all around genius school. It was good for me to go there because I was into that kind of stuff, but some of the kids there probably hated it. The dumb ones especially. And the preppy kids who wanted to be a cheerleader for a football team. Give me a break.

Anyway, I skipped to the living room where Ashton waited furiously on the couch for me to get ready. “Okay, Mr. Grinch, I’m ready.” Grinch was a really random name.

He managed a smile and stood up. “That didn’t take long.”

“I don’t spend hours in the bathroom doing my hair like you, Ashton,” I said, smirking.

“Yeah, yeah, whatever.” He grabbed his keys from the coffee table and we headed out the door to his silver Jag, the nicest car on the planet. I knew absolutely nothing about it, just that when I got a car, it would be almost just as nice as his. There was no way that the ‘rents would buy him an ultra spiffy car and leave me out in the cold. Okay, there was plenty of way that they’d do that.

The traffic was heavy for it being early in the morning. If I didn’t have to go to school, I’d be asleep, and I figured the other people in the world saw it like that too, but obviously not. Everyone was out and about even if it was raining like hell. Ashton hated the rain, but I loved it! Another random statement.

“Don’t try any stupid pranks this year, okay?”

I rolled my eyes. “Come on, Ash, lighten up.”

“Anastasia, I’m serious,” he said, looking at me. “It’s the first day of school and you don’t need to start this year off wrong.”

“Whatever.”

He finally pulled into the parking lot of my school and looked at me. “I’m not kidding.”

“Bye, Ash!” I said, opening the door and hopping out. “See you after school!”

I practically ran towards the building wanting to leave Ashton as soon as possible. At one point in time he was the only person I could count on, and now I couldn’t even count on him! He was the one I could tell all of my pranks to and he’d laugh and tell me that one day I’d get caught and get in trouble for it and I just shrugged him off and didn’t worry about it. I hated the fact that he was turning into another parent of mine. It wasn’t fair.

“Anastasia!” I heard and instantly there was a body slammed into mine with a hug that I noticed to be one of my best friends, Michelle.

I smiled. “Heya. What’s up?”

“Remember that girl last year who got kicked out of school?”

I racked my brain. Things were so messed up at my school... everybody knew everybody and when there was a new person everyone knew about it and why they were there. I, for one, didn’t see anything super cool about someone getting kicked out of school, but the other students seemed to think it was awesome to finally have someone different who wasn’t goody-goody. Finally a vision came to mind, a girl with brown hair and blue eyes who smiled a lot and hung out with the soccer players. What was her name? “Yeah, I know who you’re talking about. What about her?”

“She’s going to be here this year! And they say she’s a really good soccer player and she’s going to be on the team. And the team is going to nationals this year and they say with her on there that she’ll be awesome and you’re on the soccer team so you’ll get to know her!”

I blinked. “Wow,” I said with sarcastic enthusiasm. “I’ll get to meet the most popular girl in school! Lucky me!” I rolled my eyes. “Come on, Michelle. She’s just a normal person, like everyone else.”

“Right, Anastasia,” she said, obviously not agreeing with me. She was about to say something else but the bell cut her off and we headed inside. Everything seemed so much like the year before, just tougher classes and an abundant worship for the new girl. Another shitty year.

Everything went by smoothly. The classes were decent except I had to spend another year with the bitchy English teacher. How was it that I managed to have a shitty teacher in a subject I hated?

FINALLY, my soccer class began. It was like heaven. And what was even better was that I hadn’t played any pranks so far the entire day and I was just itching to do so. I walked out onto the soccer field and really didn’t hang out with anybody because I didn’t really know many people. The coach was talking and stuff and I wasn’t really paying attention because I didn’t really care. I was just ready to go home and go to sleep. It startled me a bit when she introduced us to everyone, me and a few kids whom I didn’t know. I was the only one who hadn’t been on the soccer team before and I didn’t have a clique to go into, but I didn’t really care. I didn’t care about a lot of stuff at this time.

It kind of came to a shock to me when I found myself in the same group as the junior soccer players. I noticed one as the new girl everyone was talking about. “Welcome to the team,” one girl, Jayna, said, shaking my hand. I tried to smile but I didn’t really feel like it 'cause I knew the girl a little and didn’t really like her.

The other girl moved up. “I’m Brianna,” she said. “Did you go here last year?” I was surprised that such a popular person would actually talk to me, since in most public schools they wouldn’t mingle no matter what.

“Yeah, unfortunately,” I muttered uninterestedly.

I yawned and looked around for a little while. The soccer field was so massive. I was so ecstatic to be playing on one of the greatest teams ever. Next thing I knew, Brianna was pushing Jayna and me away from our group. I blinked and almost said something but Brianna beat me to it.

“So Anastasia... since you’re new to the team, we have a little initiation worked out for you,” she said, smiling an evil grin.

“Oh, really?” This should be good, I thought. Brianna was the ultimate trouble maker, and she should know a good prank for me.

“Yeah, you gotta pull the fire alarm inside the gym.”

I let out a slight laugh and grinned then shook my head. “Come on, do you want me to get kicked out of school like you did?”

Jayna chimed in. “No initiation, no playing on the field.”

I sighed. “This is the most pathetic initiation I’ve ever heard of!” I said, moving towards the gym. “What happened to the paddlings that they used to give?” I added, laughing.

I led the girls towards the gym, hoping that they were on the lookout so that no one from the team would see us. This was a grand idea, the perfect prank. I’d have never thought of pulling the fire alarm myself! I knew it wasn’t really an initiation because it’d never happened before, but I was glad to start the trend! We finally arrived to the large room and I peeked inside to see that the coast was clear. The three of us stood next to each other and I looked at Brianna so she could tell me when. “Well, go ahead,” she told me. I nodded and slipped through the door towards the fire alarm. I felt Brianna’s eyes watching me as I crept towards the alarm. I gulped and looked back at her, then pulled the alarm down. The loud noise pierced my ears and I ran towards the two girls and we shot out of there as fast as our legs could carry us. Everything was going fine and dandy until I noticed that it was just Jayna and me running. I stopped and turned around to find Brianna lying face down on the ground. I would have laughed if I hadn’t have been in such a hurry. I could see the students and teachers filing outside from their comfy classrooms.

I sprinted towards Brianna and lifted her up with ease then began dragging her back to the soccer field. We weren’t even close to the field when someone stopped us. I looked up to see Mr. Qualls, the math teacher, right above me. “Girls! What is going on?!” he yelled.

Ten thousand excuses ran through my head of what to say. “We were coming back from the bathroom when we heard the alarm and we got scared and thought it was a fire!” I shouted with innocence in my voice.

“Yeah!” Brianna agreed. “We were scared that the gym was on fire!” The two of us looked up at him and I tried my hardest to have these angel puppy eyes to let him know that we didn’t do anything wrong. But he didn’t fall for it.

“I think you two’d better visit Mrs. Jamison,” he said. Mrs. Jamison was the headmistress, and a bitch, if I might say so myself! He shoved us towards the office and I tried not to resist but it was so hard. I really hated that woman!

When we got there I just yawned while he explained what he saw to Mrs. Jamison. I didn’t care. See? There I go again, not caring. Brianna kept glancing at me and from the looks of things, she probably thought she was about to get kicked out of another school. I, on the other hand, wasn’t worried. Ashton knew I did stupid stuff and he wouldn’t do anything but probably bitch at me and tell Dad what I did and Dad would just tell me never to do it again. What was there to worry about?

“...pulled the fire alarm?” Mrs. Jamison was asking. I noticed then that it was just Brianna and me, Mr. Qualls had left. I looked straight into Mrs. Jamison’s eyes.

“I did,” I said, at the exact time Brianna said it. I looked at Brianna wondering why in the world she would stand up for me like that.

“...weeks worth of detention.” I wished I’d stop zoning out so I could catch the beginning of her sentences.

“Please, ma’am!” Brianna begged. “Do you really have to contact my brother?” So she lived with her brother, too. I wondered if he was hot, and if he went to the school with us. Well, at least she couldn’t contact my parents cause they weren’t anywhere in town! And surely she wouldn’t pull Ashton out of class.

I guess Mrs. Jamison dismissed us to sit outside her office because I followed Brianna to the four chairs that were seated next to her door. I plopped down and looked at Brianna. “Hey, you didn’t have to stick up for me in there,” I said.

“No prob,” she answered, holding her head in her hands.

“I mean, my parents are out of town, they’re always out of town, and I’m not worried about it cause she’ll call and find out they’re not home then get over it and everything..”

“My brother’s going to kill me.”

I nodded. “Are your parents always out of town, too?”

“I guess you could call it that... if heaven is out of town.”

I paused. Whoa... her parents were dead. Now I felt bad for ever talking badly about my folks like that. Poor kiddo. “Oh...” I said softly. “I’m sorry about that...”

“Hey, don’t worry about it. It happened four years ago and I’m almost over it...” She totally was NOT over it. “It’s still kind of hard... but I manage.” She looked up at me and I nodded.

“Yeah... I understand. My parents are always gone. My brother looks over me more than they do.”

“How old’s your brother?”

I opened my mouth to answer but I was interrupted by the abrupt walking of a tall figure down the hallway. I figured it was Brianna’s older bro at first, but when I looked up it was Ashton. I gulped. Ashton? Here? In the office? That wasn’t cool... not cool at all.

“YOU pulled the fire alarm!” he shouted. “I can’t believe this! It’s only the first day of school and you’re already getting yourself in trouble...”

I cut him off. “Wait a minute...” I think it was just clicking that Mrs. Jamison called him to come up to the office instead of my parents... “They got you to come up here?”

“Yeah they got me to come up here... the secretary said that Mrs. Jamison wanted to have a conference with me.” So that’s what she said while I was in my own little world.

I gulped.

“I can’t believe you, Anastasia! I told you not to pull any pranks!”

“Sheesh... I’m sorry. Get over it.”

He glared at me and fell into the chair next to me. I knew he was about to make a comment about what I said about getting over it, but we were interrupted by someone who was not quite as tall as Ashton, but definitely more cut. Ashton was somewhere around 6’4 and this guy was around 6’1, which is just about as tall. I could immediately see his resemblance in Brianna. He glared angrily at Brianna. I wished desperately that she wouldn’t have stood up for me. I could have taken the blame myself!

“Brianna Nicole Carter!” he yelled. Brianna blushed and it was so funny, but I didn’t laugh because she didn’t laugh at me when Ashton was bitching me out. I waited for him to go on, and I could tell Brianna was waiting, too, but he didn’t. I blinked and looked at Ashton and he looked back at me and shrugged. He didn’t look like he was going to sit down anytime soon, but it didn’t really matter, because right after he arrived, Mrs. Bitch, ahem, I mean Mrs. Jamison opened the door and greeted our brothers then showed us inside. I just stood there studying the floor because it was always more interesting than what Mrs. Jamison had to say. I knew I had a weeks worth detention and I figured that Ashton could do the lecturing himself when we got home.

I heard her mention something about next time being suspended for at least three days and didn’t really care, like normal. I looked at Brianna and we grinned at one another. I hoped that she wasn’t too worried. I hated getting her in trouble like that. After all, it was my fault for wanting to play a prank so badly.

Finally, she dismissed us from her office and Ashton grabbed my upper arm and marched me towards the car. Talk about feeling like I was five years old! “You don’t even know how disappointed I am in you, Young Lady,” he scolded. I rolled my eyes. “Getting into trouble on the first day of school like that? What the hell were you thinking!” He unlocked the door and opened it, shoving me inside. Obviously, he didn’t want to know what I was thinking or he would have stayed around to hear it. He got inside the car then sped off, leaving me in silence to “think about what I’ve done.” Once again, I didn’t care, but I wasn’t going to let him know that.

It seems like only a matter of seconds before we pulled into the driveway of our house. By looking at the house, you could tell that my parents' richness wasn’t spent on it. It was a one story house with three bedrooms, a living room, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a dining room. We were the only rich people I knew who decided to spend their money on cars and school rather than a big house. “Go to your room,” Ashton ordered sternly.

“Yes, sir!” I said, saluting him. I heard him mutter the word smartass as I scampered to my room on my tiptoes as quickly as they could carry me because I knew my smartass comment would make him want to pop my behind on my way out.

I decided to sit on my bed and think about what I did. Let’s see. I went to school on the first day and pulled the fire alarm. It really wasn’t that big of a deal. Or maybe it was just my apathy that thought it wasn’t a big deal. I played the event through my head. The sharpest thing in my mind was Brianna falling to the ground. I wished I could’ve seen it. I wondered if she tripped over her own feet. I giggled a bit, thinking about her tripping over one foot and landing face down into the grass. In fact, I thought about it so much that I was basically choking on laughter. Perfect timing for Ashton to come in.

“I don’t find any of this funny,” he said in all seriousness.

Ahem. I bit my lower lip to suppress the laughter. Breathe in, breathe out.

“I don’t appreciate the way you’re acting, Anastasia,” he warned.

I nodded.

“What you’ve done to day is completely inexcusable.”

I nodded again.

“You have no business getting yourself nearly suspended on the first day of school.”

Another nod.

He growled under his breath. “Fine, a spanking it is.”

My mouth dropped. “A what?”

“You heard me. A spanking.” He sat on my bed and grabbed me by the waist and turned me over his knee.

“No wait!” I argued. “Ashton! I’m sorry. Don’t do this!”

“Too late,” he said. I felt him flip up my skirt and tug my panties down to my knees.

“Ashtonnnn,” I whined, struggling and fighting to get up, but he had a tight grip on me. Somewhere in the back of my mind I wondered what was happening to Brianna at this time.

“Stop it!” he ordered, hitting my bare bottom HARD with something I couldn’t quite make out what until he told me. “I’m going to spank you with this hairbrush until you can’t sit down for a week.”

“A HAIRBRUSH!” I screamed and struggled to get free again.

“Yes, a hairbrush,” he said then sent it crashing down on my backside again.

“OWWWW!! That hurts!!!”

“That’s what you get for having an attitude WHACK! and getting in trouble on the first day of school.” WHACK WHACK!!!

“OWWWIEEEESS!! Ashtonnnnnn it hurtsssss!”

“It’s supposed to hurt!” WHACK WHACK WHACK!!!

I kicked my legs furiously to try and keep the sting out of my bottom. But, it wasn’t really helping. After all, this was the second time I’d been spanked and I wasn’t used to such pain.

“I’m sorryyyy!” I yelled as he sent the hairbrush crashing down on my bottom four more times.

“Good,” he replied and began spanking me rapidly, hard and fast while I squirmed and kicked and whined with all of the energy that was in my body. He just kept a good grip on me and kept up his rhythm until I had kicked and squirmed and whined so much I was crying and exhausted. He ended up the spanking with two final HARD spanks on my sit spots and I yelped after each one. I heard him sit the brush down and I just lay there crying for a few minutes to regain myself. I didn’t realize how much a hairbrush spanking could hurt, but now I knew and I never cared to know again.

“Well,” he said, after my crying died down a little. “Looks like now that Mom is gone and Dad’s not around much, I’m going to be taking care of you little sis, and this is how I’m going to handle your punishments, okay?”

“Nooooo,” I whined, still crying.

“Yessss,” he mimicked. “I love you, sis, and I don’t want you to end up getting kicked out of school like some people we know.” He lifted me off of his lap and I grinned.

“Brianna’s a cool person though.” I thought about how her older brother stormed into the office. “And her older brother is hot,” I added, grinning.

“Yeah, yeah, whatever.” He playfully shoved me and I pulled my panties back up. The pain of having someone on my bottom caused me to wince and Ashton just laughed at me. I rolled my eyes at him. “Got any homework?” Surprisingly, I did, and he knew it, too. So I got right on to my homework while lying on my bed instead of sitting up 'cause I was in too much pain to sit up. In a way, I was glad that the day turned out like it did. I made a friend and got to pull my prank. It wasn’t so bad after all.
